LUKE

So... it was now the night before one month had passed (Sam kept a mental calendar in his head). We were having dinner when there was a rap-rap-rapping at the door. Confused, I got up from the table to answer it.

It was Wrath, Chomata's lookalike. "...Hey guys."

Wrath got a metal boot kick to the face before he could say anything else. "GO AWAY!!" I yelled.

"Luke, I know you hate me and all, but you've gotta listen to me," Wrath said urgently.

"We don't want to hear anything you have to say. Get out or we'll make you get out," Sam threatened.

"I'm serious! You guys have to hear this!" Wrath yelled, pleading.

"What part of 'get out' do you not understand?" Elle asked rhetorically. "We were given the task to survive on this island for one month without our powers, so it'll make all of our lives easier if you go away now."

"Fine. But trust me, the second you get off this island, I'll look for you. And if you still don't want to hear it, you'll regret it later," Wrath grunted. Then he did that disappearing act that the other Sins knew how to do.

"Thank god he's gone," I sighed once he left. Then we got back to eating.

The next morning, the first thing to come to our sights was Mrs. Sandy on her boat. All eight of us ran to the shore, and she eventually took notice of us.

"I see none of you died. Congratulations, you made it. Let's take y'all home," she smiled. We all cheered and whooped.

On Mrs. Sandy's boat, conversations of all varieties were occurring. I was chatting with Chomata. "What does Wrath want with us?" I asked him.

Chomata shrugged. "I dunno. What's weird is he didn't make any move to harm us or capture us."

"Yeah... do you think he's trying to befriend us?"

"Again. I dunno. Possibly."

Then Anastasia asked aloud, "Hey... y'know what would be cool, guys?"

We all looked at her, wanting to know the answer.

"What if, along with being able to attract guys, I can attract atoms and rearrange them into a different matter?" she asked. I immediately laughed.

"That, Anastasia, will never happen," I snickered. She glared back at me and growled, "Hey. Anything's possible."

Sam intervened before either of us could say anything else. "Anastasia, I don't know if your power works like that. Since the generic name is attraction, maybe, but for now we should assume no."

Anastasia frowned but said nothing else in reply.

About 20 minutes later, we came across civilization. It definitely wasn't our hometown, or anywhere else familiar, for that matter. The boat hit a shoreline, and the eight of us stepped off. "Good job, kids. I expect great things from you now," Mrs. Sandy told us. With a salute, she began sailing away.

We began walking in a pointless direction. I snickered to Josh, "She thinks she could attract anything but guys, heh."

Unfortunately, Anastasia heard me.

ANASTASIA

As soon as I heard Luke's teasing, I turned to him slowly. "What the hell, Luke? I can't believe you'd say something like that!" I exclaimed.

"Calm down. It was just a joke," Luke muttered.

"I will NOT calm down, thank you very much! That is very offensive!"

Elle walked towards me slowly and touched my shoulder. "Anastasia, maybe you should take a deep breath and-" she said softly, but I brushed her hand aside. "Not now, Elle."

I turned back to Luke, my anger levels rising. "Anytime I come up with a cool idea, you rain on my parade. Why, Luke? I thought you liked me."

That must've pushed one of his buttons. He clenched a fist at me and said, "Bullshit."

"Oh, you wanna fight about it? I'd gladly take you on," I growled.

"Guys, let's not solve this by fighting," Sam begged. I held up a hand to silence him while keeping my gaze at Luke.

"You think you can take me down in a fight? It's on, then," Luke growled, raising his fists.

Luke and I sat at opposite ends of an alley, glaring at each other in anger.

"What are ya gonna do? Wink at me?" Luke teased. That was all it took. I screamed a battle cry and charged at Luke, eventually knocking him to the ground.

"I'm not gonna fight you. I'm gonna kick your ass," I growled, beating on him as hard as I could.

"Just because you're a girl, I'm not going easy on you!" Luke yelled. He got up as did I. He charged for me with his sword-arm, but I tripped him. I then pinned him to the ground and grabbed the knife that Mrs. Sandy had given us, and pressed it to his throat, ready to kill him.

"ANASTASIA! DON'T DO IT!" Shanna yelled, as she, Elle, and Sam pulled me away. I fought against them, but to no avail.

"Why shouldn't I? He deserves it for making fun of my power!" I argued.

Sam looked at me calmly, but sternly, and said, "Anastasia, we're all in this together, whether you like it or not. And seriously. There's better ways to handle this that don't involve killing Luke."

"Y'know what? Just leave me alone!" I shouted, strutting away in anger. I found a nearby bench and sat down, my head in my arms. I sat there, saying to myself, "They don't understand. None of them do."

A few seconds later, I heard Chomata's voice say, "You alright there?"

I looked up at him, and sighed, "Not really."

"Look, I'm here because Luke wants me to apologize for him. He feels really bad for making fun of you," Chomata told me.

"If Luke wants me to forgive him, he can apologize to me himself. There doesn't have to be someone communicating everything," I sighed. "So unless you can get Luke to come talk to me, you're all fresh out of luck."

"I'm afraid I can't do that," Chomata frowned.

"Why not?" I asked. Then I took notice of his attire, which I didn't do before. He was wearing all black.

This wasn't Chomata. This was Wrath.
