Chapter XV

SHANNA

Hearing Anastasia's call for help, we all rushed to her assistance. Well, Luke stayed behind, at first.

"I don't want to help someone who tried to kill me," he protested. "Besides, she wanted to be left alone."

Groaning, I grabbed Luke's arm and dragged him. He tried to break free of my grasp, but let's just say I'm much stronger than him.

We all surrounded Anastasia and Wrath, and Wrath held his hands up. "Look, I'm a man of my word. I keep my promises. And I said the second you left that island I would find you."

"What do you even want with us?" Sam asked, giving him the evil eye.

"It's very important that you know. But this matter will be best discussed somewhere private," Wrath answered. "I need you to come with me."

"Why should we trust you?" Elle hissed. "Knowing you guys, you're just going to kidnap us again."

"Look, can you just come with me-" Wrath sighed, but Chomata held up a hand. He then proceeded to grab his electric bow and arrow. Wrath then stood up and walked a good few feet back from us, then got out a remote.

"I wish I didn't have to do this, but you leave me no other choice," he says, gritting his teeth. He pushed the button on the remote, and a cage fell from the sky and landed above us, trapping us. Sean and I tried to break the bars, but they were obviously steel.

Then a shape began to form around Wrath. Apparently it was a huge crane. He picked us up with the claw, and drove us off somewhere.

A few minutes later, we arrived at a toothbrush factory. It was there that we were released, and Wrath led us inside, turning back to us and holding a finger to his lips before letting us inside.

"This is not my opposite. At all," Chomata whispered to me as we walked inside.

"I agree," I whispered back.

Wrath led us to a table, with, coincidentally, 9 chairs. Each of us took a seat, and Wrath said to us, keeping his head low, "I'm here to help you guys out. This will benefit you, trust me." Then he got out a piece of paper and laid it on the table.

I turned the paper over, and it was revealed to be a picture of a rock.

"...It's a rock. I don't see the point here," Sam shrugged.

"This is the Rock of Doom. It's a rock with special powers, and only works in the hands of an alchemist," Wrath explained.

"So, like a philosopher's stone," Luke said, and Wrath shook his head.

"Not necessarily. This rock grants special powers not normally accessible by a normal human. Currently it is missing, but I have a good idea on its whereabouts." Wrath got out a map and gave it to Luke.

"Your task it to find it before Envy does. If this rock ends up in the wrong hands... I think you get my point," Wrath said, his eyes wide open.

Luke nodded, then looked to Anastasia and Chomata. "Are you two willing to accompany me?"

They both nodded, and then they just sorta disappeared by ways unknown.

"So, what do the rest of us do?" Sean asked after they had left. Wrath said, "Oh yeah... I've got a fun little task for you to do while they're on their quest."

"Does your definition of fun match my definition?" Sam asked.

He didn't get an answer, because we were teleported away right there.
