At this point, we were tracking the man in possession of the Rock. He was taking a pathway behind the buildings of the village, likely to avoid being spotted. Using Chomata's invisibility, we were able to follow him without being seen.

"Where do you think he's heading?" I whispered to Luke. Even though we couldn't be seen, we could still be heard. So we had to do our best to remain silent.

"He's definitely heading somewhere to hide the necklace. And we're going to figure out where," Luke answered.

Eventually, the man quickly slipped into the streets, and we followed. He then waved down a taxi, paid the fare, and hopped inside. The taxi drove off, and then I asked, "Well, what are we gonna do now?"

"We find him and we get the Rock," Chomata answered. "And I have a vague idea as to where that taxi will be heading." With that, he led us to a wide patch of grass next to the sidewalk, and sure enough, the taxi stopped there.

"How'd you figure that out?" I asked, stunned.

"I remembered seeing this in our initial journey through the village, and figured this would be a good starting point to find where the man's going to hide the Rock," Chomata replied.

"Well, it was genius," Luke said. And so our stalking continued, until we followed the man through some trees and saw...

The outside of a temple. I'm not even joking.

"This guy must have a lot of money," Luke mumbled to himself. We watched the man walk inside the doors, and Luke said, "Okay. Let's go in."

The three of us walked to the entrance of the temple. I wondered aloud, "Luke, is this really a good idea? We have no idea what's in there."

"It's our only shot if we want this Rock of Doom," Luke answered, not even taking a look at me. All of our eyes were focused on the inside of the mansion.

"Alright. Here goes nothing," Luke told us, grabbing a torch from the wall. With that, Chomata, Luke, and I slowly stepped inside the temple, and very slowly began walking down the entrance stairs.

LUKE

The walls were lined with torches, which unfortunately illuminated Chomata, Anastasia, and I even though Chomata made us all invisible (if he touches anyone while invisible, they turn invisible too). Luckily we were many paces behind the necklace man, so it wouldn't be an issue.

Each step we took down the long, twisting stairs was done with caution. There was no taking chances here. If someone slipped up, or made a noise one decibel too loud, it would be all over.

Once we reached the bottom of the stairs, it was simply a matter of keeping a steady distance from the necklace man, but close enough that we could keep up with him. He held a torch with him as well, but he was walking at a brisk pace. Torches still lined the walls, and I put a finger to my lips as we turned a corner, as a sign to make zero noise.

A walk that took three minutes felt like three hours. Eventually, the man pushed a brick on a wall, which made the wall slide into the floor, revealing a room with a glass container, which is where he placed the necklace.

The three of us hid behind the wall, and I made a mental note of which brick he pushed. As the man walked back through the opening, we quickly walked in. I took careful steps up to the glass; you never know where someone could place booby traps.

Finally, I lifted up the glass slowly, and reached for the necklace, and picked the rock off of it in one swift motion. Then I remained frozen for about a second. No alarm. No traps. No anything.

"That... was surprisingly easy," I whispered to myself as I walked back to Anastasia and Chomata. I pushed the correct brick to open the wall back up, and we backtracked our way through the temple, still cautious and glancing around for any signs of a trap. Amazingly, we made it out with nothing happening.

At first, none of us said anything. We just glared at the Rock. "It... it looks like a normal rock," Anastasia muttered.

"But it's more than that," I commented. "And now we have it. Our quest is complete."

"Do we head back now?" Chomata asked, and I shrugged. Then I noticed a particular shining piece of metal next to the temple, with a note on it. I picked up the note and read, "Congratulations, you did it. Here's a teleporter for you to take you back to the town you were at. Wrath."

"Huh," we all said. Shrugging it off, we teleported.
