I didn't realize that Ivy thought I hate her. I have never hated Ivy and now I feel bad because I've wasted all these years with her. I played the jokes on Ivy because that's what they were, jokes, but Ashley was the one that actually hated her. Ashley hates Ivy mainly because she's a runt and dad shows more affection to Ivy. To Ashley, Ivy is weak and useless. While I was at my locker, I heard someone yell my name. I saw Ashley walking towards me with an evil look in her eyes.

"I have a plan." she said.

"Which is?" I asked uninterested.

"We are going to kill Ivy and dad." she said. I gaped at her and stepped back. Did this girl smoke before she came to school!?

"Ashley are you serious? Scratch that, are you sane!? Why would you want to kill them!?" I yelled. She was loco!

"I want them to pay. It's Ivy's fault I lost the alpha title! And dad took it to far! I want them gone!" she yelled. Really? She was willing to kill her own flesh and blood because she lost the alpha title? That's childish.

"Do you know what you'd be risking if you do that? You can become a rogue! You can be exiled! And besides, I'm not ready to lead a pack Ashley! I'm not ready to lead this pack!" I yelled. If dad dies, then I would get the alpha title, but I'm not ready.

"I will be there to help you Ashton. That's why we are twins. We help each other." she said. I shook my head and started walking away. I looked around and saw that we were the only ones in the hall.

"I'm not helping you Ashley. I'm not killing my family." I said. I started walking away but she called me again.

"If you don't help me, then I will kill you too!" she yelled.

"You would kill me? Your twin!?" I yelled.

"If you defy me, I will." she said. I said nothing. Instead, I walked away. How can she do this? I walked in first period and saw Uriel drooling and sleeping. I slapped his head and he jumped up.

"I studied mom!" he yelled.

"Wake up idiot. That's why you're failing now. And I'm not your mom." I said.

"Damn it Ashton! I thought you was my mom for pete's sake!" he yelled. Uriel is my only true friend at this school. I have other friends but they just use me to get to Ashley or because I'm the alpha's child. Uriel is also a member of the pack and he's going to be my beta if I become alpha.

"Sorry Uriel. It was pretty funny though." I said while laughing.

"No the hell it wasn't. Where's Ivy?" he asked. I growled just thinking about what Ashley planned to do to Ivy. Ashley really pissed me off today. Uriel has the biggest crush on Ivy, even though they aren't mates. A mate is someone who you're destined with forever. The moon goddess picked this person to be your mate for a reason, and I hear that once you find them, you'll love them forever. If they get hurt or die, it'll be so devastating. I haven't met my mate yet, but I'm hoping she's out there.

"Why do you like her?" I asked. I'm not saying Ivy is ugly, but I just want to know why.

"Dude, she's everything I want in a girl. She would be the perfect beta female." he said. I stayed quiet and the teacher started his lesson. I decided to go to sleep because let's be honest, who the hell cares about some dead guys dumping Lipton tea in water? I don't. The door opened and Ivy walked in. She looked wet and I knew something happened to her.

"Hello Ivy. What happened to you?" the teacher asked.

"Uh, I fell in a puddle. I need to talk to Ashton." she said. I walked with her outside and she started crying.

"Ivy what happened?" I asked.

"It was surprise prank me day. I smell like jello." she whined. Now that she mentioned it, her hair was red and so was her clothes.

"Who did this? I asked..

"Ashley and her minions." she mumbled. I growled lowly and ran a hand through my hair. Ashely was going to far! I have to warn Ivy.

"Ivy, listen to me good. Ashley is planning something against you and dad. She wants to kill you two because of what happened this morning. You have to be careful." I said.

"She really hates us that much?" she asked with hurt and sadness in her eyes.

"She hates everyone, including me. If I don't help her, she'll kill me too." I said.

"I have to leave. I can't stay here." Ivy said.

"I'm going too. Wherever you go, I'll go too. You're not leaving without me." I said with seriousness in my voice. I refuse to let Ivy slip out of my life. I haven't spent any time with her. She is not leaving without me.

"Ashton, you can't leave Dark Moon. They need an alpha and you're next in line. You can't leave." she said.

"Fudge that pack! I care about you more. I'm going with you and that's final!" I yelled. I felt power radiating off of me, and I knew Ivy felt it too.

"Wow. You are so ready to be an alpha." she said.

"I'm not Ivy. Just because you felt the power radiating off of me, doesn't mean I'm ready to lead a pack." I said. Ivy shrugged and looked at the time.

"I need to get back to class. We'll talk later." she said while walking away. I walked back into class and Uriel stared at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You're leaving without me!? To hell with that! I'm coming with you!" he yelled.

"Keep your voice low Uriel! You can come with us but don't tell anyone. Now be quiet before the humans hear our plans." I said. Our school was diverse. There were humans here as well as werewolves. The class me and Uriel was in is mostly humans.

"Fine, but I'm still coming." he said. After that, we continued to do our work.
