"Hold up! Mom isn't your mom!?" Ashton yelled for the third time. Lucinda uh I mean mom and I just finished explaining everything to Ashton, Donald and Uriah.
"Yes Ashton. How many times do I have to tell you this?" I asked annoyed.
"So is dad our dad?" Ashton asked.
"He's Ivy's dad. Not yours." Mom said. Ashton looked hurt after hearing that.
"Mom lied to us." Ashton said.
"She lied to everyone. Ashley doesn't even know it." I said while grabbing his hand.
"Poor Ashley. She's working with that liar we call mom and she doesn't even know that Marissa is using her." Ashton said. His eyes were changing colors and I knew his wolf was about to come out.
"Calm down Ashton. Ashley will figure it out soon." Uriah said. Ashton grabbed Uriah and sniffed her neck, which didn't seem to bother Uriah.
"What do we do now? We can't go back. Ivy hasn't shifted yet." Donald said.
"I'll make myself shift." I said. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.
"Ivy, you can't do that. You have to be ready to shift." Donald said.
"I'm supposed to be a powerful hybrid right? So maybe I can make myself shift. Just let me try it." I said while getting up. I walked upstairs and went to my room. After locking the door, I sat on a chair.
"Just relax Ivy. Imagine yourself as a vampire. It can't be that hard." I said to myself. I sat there for a few more minutes, but nothing happened.
"This sucks." I mumbled. I stood up and started pacing again.
"C'mon! Why isn't this working!?" I yelled out. I saw a picture of grandma Lucy standing proud and tall.
"Nonna, what do I do?" I asked. I was giving up all hope.
"Bevanda..."
I looked around trying to figure out who said that.
"Hello? Who's there?" I asked.
"Bevanda..." the voice said again.
"Drink what? This isn't Alice in Wonderland!" I yelled. Wind blew around my room and I saw a bottle sitting on the table. Total twitches moment...
"What is this? I'm not drinking it! How do I know you're not trying to kill me!?" I yelled.
"Bevanda..."
I picked up the bottle and sniffed it. It reeked of blood!
"Bere il sangue..." the voice said.
"Why do I have to drink blood!" I whined. I brought the bottle to my lips and felt the metallic taste go down my throat. I felt this burning sensation run through me. I gasped and fell to the floor.
"Mamma! Help me!" I yelled. Mom ran upstairs and knelt down beside me.
"You're transforming! It worked!" she yelled. I screamed again. This time, Ashton, Uriah and Donald ran upstairs.
"Ivy!" Uriah yelled.
"Stay back! It's almost over." mom said. They stayed quiet as they listened to my screams.
The pain finally went away. I felt new, reborn. I stood up and walked to a mirror. My skin was pale, I had red eyes that made my blonde hair stand out.
"I look...different." I said.
"How do you feel?" mom asked.
"I feel stronger...powerful." I said with a smirk. I turned around and saw Ashton and Donald staring at me.
"We need to leave. My mate is hurting right now and we need to save him as well as the pack." I said.
"Of course luna." Donald said while bowing.
"As long as you're ready, I'm ready." Ashton said.
"And I'm going to help!" Uriah yelled.
"Uriah, you have to stay here. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you." Ashton said.
"But I can help!" Uriah protested.
"Uriah, as your brother's mate, I don't think that would be wise. I don't want you to get hurt. Stay here. I promise we will be ok." I said. Uriah pouted but eventually nodded.
"Promise?" she asked.
"Promise." I said. We ran outside and into the woods.
"Are you sure you're ready Ivy?" Ashton asked.
"I'm sure." I said. And with that, we took off.
