the couple had fallen asleep after what had happened. they were snuggling and asleep for about two more hours, until tyler woke up. he smiled at the sleeping haven on his chest. he thought she looked beautiful even when she was asleep and unaware that she was being looked at. he glanced at the time to see it was 2:32pm. and just as he was about to slowly and gently reach for his phone, haven giggled into him.
"what are you giggling about down there?" he asked, gently playing with one of her loose braids.
"just thinkin!" she replied, giggling again.
"about?" he moved his hand to her back and rubbed it.
"i can't believe you ate me out," she said, sucking in her bottom lip.
"is that a good thing?" he asked, blushing a little bit.
"an amazing thing! it felt great!" she giggled.
he chuckled, "i know. i could tell."
she gently shoved his chest before sitting up in the bed, "shut up!"
he chuckled again, "i'll never shut up about that!"
"whatever!" she playfully rolled her eyes. she stretched her arms above her head, "what shall we do today, bubs?"
tyler smiled at her, "i have an idea!"
she tilted her head and looked him in the eyes for the first time since they woke up, "oh yeah? what's your idea?"
he couldn't help but get lost in her eyes for a second before shaking his head and replying, "have you ever heard of the columbus coffee experience?"
she smiled and nodded, "yeah my work is one of the stops for it, so i stamp the booklets all the time!"
"well, have you ever done it?"
"nope."
"do you want to?" he asked with a grin.
"yes yes yes!" she cheered, standing up and pulling tyler up by his hand. he chuckled and stood up with her. "i'm so excited!" she said and danced around.
tyler joined in on the dancing before wrapping his arms around her waist, "we have to figure out which coffee shops to go to. there's 17 stops but-"
haven cut him off with a quick peck to the cheek, "let's figure it out after i get dressed!"
he held in his blush, "works for me. but do you even have a change of clothes here?"
"shit," she frowned as she realized she didn't bring anything with her except for one hoodie when she came over. now she'll have to go home to change and risk seeing henry. she groaned, "i don't want to see henry!"
tyler frowned upon seeing her upset, "it's okay. i'll be with you and i swear i'll beat him to smithereens if he tries anything." he jokingly put up his two fists.
haven giggled and fully removed herself from tyler's arms to sit on the foot of the bed, "did you really just say the word 'smithereens'?"
tyler chuckled, "maybe."
haven let out a big laugh, "sometimes you really prove to me just how old you are!"
tyler gave her a mischievous smile before tackling her back onto his bed and causing her to erupt in a fit of giggles as he tickled her sides. "oh yeah?" he said, continuing to tickle her.
"t-t-tyler!" she laughed and kept trying to remove his hands from her. he kept on tickling though, "s-s-stop it!" she laughed out.
"no can do, honey boo boo!" he joked as he continued tickling her.
"if y-y-you don't s-s-stop, i'll-"
"you'll what?" tyler smirked at her as he stopped tickling her.
she smiled and wrapped her arms around tyler's neck as he was on top of her, "i don't know what i'll do, honestly. maybe poison your coffee or something." she shrugged.
tyler smiled at their position before biting his lip, "i-"
haven cut him off, "go get ready so we can go to my house." she pushed him off and stood up. she walked out of the room to go downstairs and put her shoes on as tyler got ready in his room. he threw on a pair of black jeans and a tshirt, slipping on some vans. he quickly walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth and style his hair. within seven minutes, he was ready to go. he collected his phone, wallet, car keys, and sunglasses before walking downstairs to see a sad-looking haven on the couch.
he hurried over to take a seat next to her and wrap his arm around her, "hey hey, what's wrong?"
she faked a smile that tyler could see right through, "nothing, are you ready?"
"we'll leave when you tell me what's bothering you." he said, rubbing her back gently.
"i just," she paused. "you make it so hard."
he tilted his head, not understanding. "what do you mean? what'd i do, haven?"
"i don't want to like you, but goddamn you make it hard. tyler," she turned to look him in the eyes before continuing. "i do not want to date. we said we would just be friends, but it seems-"
"i'm sorry," he cut her off.
she sighed and pushed his comment aside, continuing where she left off, "it seems that it's impossible for us to just be friends."
"wait, what?"
"do you like me, tyler? be honest." her eyes stared into his, begging for the truth.
so he gave nothing but the truth, "i've liked you for awhile. probably since i laid my eyes on you six weeks ago."
her lips flicked into a smile, "should we call this coffee experience a date, then?"
he smiled so wide that his cheeks expanded twice their size, "yes!"
"okay," she paused and poked his nose. "ask me then."
he was confused for a second before it struck him. "haven," he paused and put his hand on her cheek. "will you go on a date with me today?"
she felt her cheeks go pink briefly before she pushed her forehead onto his and whispered, "i guess, gramps."
