The brunette couldn't hold the door any longer. Before she knew it her body flung backwards onto the hardwood floor. Walkers came piling into the room, craving to feast on the girl with the hat lying on the floor.
Clementine shook off the throbbing pain she felt shoot up the back of her head and stood up, trying to get a sense of things. "Clem!" Louis and Aasim both yelled.
They swiftly jumped out of the hatch and killed any walkers roaming near the brunette. The three tried to take out as many as they could, but walkers just kept flooding in. "There's still too many!" Aasim shouted.
"Get to the hatch!" Clem yelled.
They turned around and booked it to the hatch with walkers following. First Aasim, then Louis, and finally Clementine.
Once she hopped down, she shut the hatch before walkers could join. They were all panting like hell. "Holy, shit," Aasim said aloud.
"Little too close for my liking," Louis added.
Clem was busy clutching the back of her head from the searing pain. "Hey, Clem, you okay?" Aasim asked with concern.
"Yeah, I guess. Thanks for, you know, saving me from being mauled by walkers." She took off her hat and felt where she made contact with the floor. Already there was a bump forming.
"You might wanna get some ice on that," Lou stated.
"I will, let's find a way out of here first. We're not out of the woods yet. Literally," she replied.
"Haha, good one, Clem. I'm glad my jokes are rubbing off on you," Lou said with a kiddish smile.
"Oh my god," Aasim sighed.
Walkers were still roaming around outside. They took out the majority of them, so if it came down to taking the rest out, they at least stood a chance. There was barely any room underneath the hatch for all three of them. It was cramped and hot, causing them to sweat a little. With walkers banging on it above, their only way out was to crawl.
"I think I see a hole we could squeeze through," Clem noted. She moved toward it, clutching her knife in her hand. She scanned for walkers before making a move. It was dark and dirty underneath the cabin, fungi and mold growing underneath. The three struggled to breathe properly.
Clementine forced herself through the small patch and shimmied her way up from underneath the claustrophobic area. "Alright, it's clear. Let's take what we managed to escape with and get back to home."

The walk back to the school was quiet. Crows chirping and the wind howling were the only things to break the silence until the dreadlocked man spoke up. "So. Are we all up for a card game tonight?" Louis asked, trying to bring spirits up.
"Maybe some other night, Lou. My head is killing me right now," Clementine explained.
"You're really gonna turn away a card game because your head aches? You know, I heard the best treatment for a headache is to play a relaxing game of-"
"Give it up, Lou. It's not gonna happen," Aasim cut in.
Clem playfully rolled her eyes and continued walking. She looked at what they were able to save: four cans of food, two sodas; it would't be enough. They now relied on Javi's group to survive.

"I see 'em!" Willy shouted from the watch tower, eyeing up three silhouettes from afar. He jumped down, opened the gate, and let them in. "So? We eatin good tonight?" Willy impatiently queried.
