Clementine opened her eyes to the sight of Violet, who was still sleeping right next to her. She smiled contently and trained her eyes on her lips, watching her slowly inhale and exhale. "Vi," she spoke whilst shaking her in an attempt to wake her from her deep slumber. Violet didn't move. "Violet," she said again, this time louder.

"What?" Vi groaned.

"C'mon, get up. We should probably get to our shifts. I'm with Ruby. You're with Lou."

"Great, that'll be fun," the blonde somewhat joked. She sat up straight with Clem now, the room filled with lust and desire. The two looked lovingly into each other's gaze. Clementine clasped onto Vi's hands, gently rubbing her thumbs in small circles. "Do you remember our first kiss on top of the bell tower?"

"How could I forget. It was the first time everything felt real to me. Everything felt.. right," Vi responded, blush hitting her cheeks. "What made you think of that?"

Clementine was hesitant to respond. "You know I'm so happy with you. I just wonder if we would have what we have now if I didn't kiss you that night. If we would be where we are now, or if we'd even be together."

Violet pondered Clem's theory, carefully putting it together and shuffling through different words to respond with. She tightened her grip on her girlfriend's hands, staring into her golden brown eyes. "When you first arrived at Ericson-" she chuckled to herself, "or, Texas Two, I knew I had some sort of feelings for you, but with me being me, I never knew if I would act on them or not. Sooner or later I may have, but I'm glad you kissed me under the stars that night because I didn't have to wait any longer to be with you."

The brunette led on a soft smile, taking in all of Violet's beautiful features. "Heh, at first I wasn't sure if I should do it. I was worried you didn't feel the same, and I worried I'd jeopardize our friendship. But then I took one last look at you, and I thought some chances are worth taking. And it definitely was."

Violet couldn't help but blush and smile wider. She wasn't used to hearing these kinds of words. "You're the best, Clem. I love you. Always."

"I love you, too. Always."

The girls smiled sweetly at each other, but Violet was quick to convert to a scowl. The brunette caught on, and immediately concern rose within her. "Hey, what's wrong?" she queried with worry.

"I just can't believe I let Minnie interfere with our relationship. I lost almost a whole fucking week without you because of her."

"Violet, none of that was on you, okay? It was all me. Yes, Minnie deceived you, but I didn't allow myself to let you explain, and then I just took off."

"I know, but I should have stopped you from leaving and-"

"I don't want to go down that road again. Let's just be happy that we're together now and hope we always will be, okay?"

"I can get on board with that." The girls shared a quick kiss on the lips and left to work on their shifts.

"Hey, Ruby," Clementine greeted as she approached the greenhouse. Her and Ruby were planting various seeds and vegetables that Javier and his group had given her before she left: tomatoes, beets, carrots, and beans.

"Hey, Clem. You ready to get your hands all full of muck?"

"I guess so." Clem grabbed the few seeds Ruby had handed her to plant and began to bury them. "Wow, this place has really changed since we came here for barbed wire."

"Yeah. Now that we cleaned and cleared it out, it's definitely been a lot better for use." After a long pause, Ruby glumly spoke again. "Ms. Martin would have loved it."
