Everyone was settled in for the night - Willy on watch, everyone else in their rooms. It had been a calm, quiet night so far; no walkers in sight. Clem and Violet were walking down the halls, hand in hand, returning from their shift on watch.

The halls were lit dimly, the old school walls creaking every now and then. The girls' warm laughs and voices resonated throughout the empty halls and filled the crisp air of the night. "I'd say the party was a pretty big success today," Clementine stated, striking a conversation.

"Yeah. We never would have had it without you," Vi responded, her eyes glistening.

"We all helped. It was nice, seeing everyone happy. Your duet with Louis was beautiful, Vi."

A small bundle of warmth and ecstasy kindled within Violet. She held onto Clem's hand tightly, the feeling of her soft fingers intertwining with her's. "Thanks."

Vi's face was suddenly taken over by a pang of sadness. Her girlfriend noticed, and immediately her heart began to ache. "Hey, what's wrong?" the brunette asked worriedly.

"Oh, nothing. It's.. stupid."

Clementine stopped Vi in the middle of the hallway and took both her hands. She looked right into her light green eyes that spoke a thousand words. "What is it."

Violet glanced down in embarrassment but soon darted her eyes back up. "During the party today, I wanted to ask you to dance."

"Why didn't you?" Clem asked in a sweet tone.

"I just.. I didn't think I could in front of everyone else."

"Violet, we made out in front of them for like, five minutes," Clem lightly joked.

"I know. I just wanted our dance to be special. You know, just you and me alone."

"Any dance I get to have with you is special. I would have loved to have danced with you at the party. Who cares what they think of it? If they don't like it they can go fuck off somewhere else."

Violet let out a small, soft laugh. "You're right. You always are." The blonde caressed her girlfriend's cheek and passionately kissed her lips under the dim light. The sound of a grandfather clock striking in the background reminded them that they should get some sleep before a new day occurred.

They walked back to their dorm, still hand in hand. As usual, Clem placed her hat on the table, crawled into bed with Vi, and the two peacefully succumbed to sleep.

"I was thinkin you, Clem and Vi could go out today and see if you can find anything. Ruby, Willy, Omar and I can stay back and work on the school," Aasim established. Louis and him were talking about the caravan mentioned a few weeks back. The plan was to scout out past the old safe zone and look for any sign of it. The group seemed to take off quickly that day.

"Sounds good to me. I'll bring Chairles, Vi has her meat cleaver, and Clem can bring her trusty old knife. I'll go round up the girls."

"Alright. Be careful when you get out there. We don't know who we're dealing with quite yet."

"Now that you bring it up, do we have a plan if things go south? What if we show up and get our asses kidnapped again by some psycho killers," Lou joked but also didn't joke.

"I'm sure you guys will figure that out."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence." He turned around, propped up his coat, and headed for the school.

Violet and Clementine were upstairs in Marlon's office. They had been marking up the map Marlon had given Clem when he needed her help. "I see you two are already on the case," Louis noted as he entered the room.
