    Maya grew up in constant awe of her older brother. She believed from the beginning that he was destined to do great things. And she became even more certain of this when he was reborn as 'Freddie' when they moved to London to start a new life. He took charge of who he was in a way that she both admired and envied.

Much like her brother, Maya was an eccentric character by her own means, caught up in her own world. Head in the clouds. Quiet in contemplation. A constant daydreamer. A dangerously curious cat constantly wandering off without a care. Armed with a pen in her hand that she always struggled to put to paper. Overall, a true Alice.

It wouldn't be until she left school, that Maya would be enraptured in the world her brother thrived in. Emancipated in the world of rock and roll, aspiring writer, Maya would take her first steps into adulthood, embarking on a tumultuous journey of self-discovery, music and love.

Roger, bound by his love for youth and the liberty of rock n' roll, thrived on feeding off the young writer's lust for life. An undying passion for one another would ignite during their hazy days. A time where their hunger for pursuing their dreams were at its peak, but also a time before they were tainted with the tastes of fame and ageing.

Personally, I switch between imagining the cast and original Queen members so I will provide gifs of both versions throughout. But for the sake of this fic being initially motivated by the film, I shall put the borhap cast as the story's members (with an exception for Tim Staffell, since he will be included a lot more in this story). A/N + Disclaimer

Quite nervous approaching this story from this angle, more specifically, through a character as Freddie's sister (Maya is a replacement of Kash). This will obviously mean sometimes drastic changes to the regular story line, inaccuracies and alternate portrayals of certain people.
No disrespect to people/characters originally essential in the story of Queen's journey.
This story will deal with mature themes, including sexual themes and drug use.
