12 - Humpy Bong / Confessions

Ended up writing my longest chapter so far. This is sort of 2 chapters merged into one, but the first part was a bit too short for me to publish on its own.

Humpy Bong

added a special effect to amp up Rog's triggered-ness

"'Humpy Bong'?"

"Humpy Bong."

Brian's face scrunched up at the sound of the name, as Tim gestured passionately to the vision he had for his new band. Roger and Brian stared at him dumbfound. They might of been on the verge of laughing because of how ludicrous it sounded, but as the pieces fell in to place - Tim's flakiness, his disregard for their gigs - they knew he was serious.

"Humpy Bong?" Roger snapped. "Are you joking?"

Brian shook his head, genuinely concerned for Tim's impulsiveness. "Don't do it, Tim."

"I'm sorry." Tim said bluntly. He shook his head and scoffed. "But - we're not going anywhere with this."

"What?"

"College gigs? Pubs?" Tim scoffed. "I've got to give it a go."

"So that's it, then?" Roger placed his hand down on Tim's guitar case before he could pick it up and leave. "You're just going to leave the band, and stick around living with us like everything's okay."

Tim sighed in frustration. He was set in his decision for a long time, and no amount of arguing could change his mind at this point. "I'm leaving art school. I won't be trapped up in that dingy student's flat anymore." He pushed Roger's hand away from his guitar case, before picking it up. "I'm going places, Rog. You two should also look for something better if you know what's good for you."

"And what about Maya?" Brian asked, before Tim turned his heel.

"She'll understand." Tim said before walking off.

Roger kicked the side of his van with a husky groan. "Prick."
