    Maya woke with a start.

Her head pounded with pain as she shielded her eyes from the sunlight that streamed through the window. Maya felt her stomach churn and groaned, dreading what would follow.

As much as her body ached, she forced herself up and bolted towards the bathroom, bumping clumsily against the walls of the corridor in her rush. Kicking open the door, she lifted the toilet seat and purged loudly. Her throat burned, and the stench of her puke wafted back up her face.

After flushing, Maya trudged over to the sink to brush her teeth and wash her mouth from last night's remains. She looked up at the mirror. Her hair was an unruly, raised mess and she was still wearing a halter top and skirt from last night.

As Maya forced her mind to recall some of last night's antics, she could only envision flashes of images - Tim walking away from her, Deaky throwing his head back and forth as he danced, Rosemary cheering and dancing on table tops, Brian ushering Freddie away from doing a stage dive towards an empty dance floor - but she strained trying to remember specific details.

She failed to recall getting home or anything thereafter.

Maya fixed herself up, gathering her hair up in a clumsy ponytail and washing her face. As she walked out of the bathroom, she came face to face with Freddie, who wore a fresh beaming smile. Maya cringed in dreaded anticipation as his eyes widened and opened his mouth to greet her loudly.

"Maya! Good mor-"

"Shhhh." Maya stuck her palm over the middle of his face, bringing her other hand to her head to massage her temple.

Maya turned to hear a groan behind her. She looked to see John dawdling out of Freddie's room, hands spread across his head.

"I haven't had that much to drink since..." John shook his head. "I've never had that much to drink." He corrected himself.

Freddie tutted. "Do you have any idea how much trouble you two got up to last night?" Freddie's hands were perched on his hips, and raised his eyebrows at Maya and John. "You two were pissed beyond belief, and carousing harder than any of us. That is so unlike the both of you."

Maya and John stood beside one another, bowing their heads down as Freddie furrowed his eyebrows at them.

Eventually Freddie's bottom lip trembled as he pulled the two of them in a crushing hug. He sighed dreamily. "My babies are growing up!"

"Too... loud..." John tried to wiggle his way out of Freddie's grasp.

"Oh no you don't, you little dancing queen." Freddie tightened his hug around John.
