Talia's Pov

I jolt up right after what felt so real, panting and gasping for air.

I don't even know why it's so hard to breathe through my nostrils.

I look around my surroundings before groaning.

So it was real.

I'm going to escape the first chance I get.

I stumbled over my own two feet because the pain in my stomach.

I walked to the window and looked outside.

It was nighttime, best timing to run away. The city lights were lighting this tremendous night in a calming way.

I looked down.

I backed a few steps stumbling.

Man, that was high.

This must be a ten story building if I'm this high.

Not a single rope in sight in this room plus nothing in this room can work as a rope.

I laid there thinking of a way to escape this prison.

I stood up and explored  the room, you never know what becomes handy when.

I started to breathe hardly because I noticed that I was sweating.

My hand, in a fist, was clutching my chest as if my life depended on it.

My vision was really blurry again.

Please tell me what's wrong with me!?

Ok, I know what's wrong with me, I have a fever and have an allergy infection.

But can anyone tell me whats  that got to do with my vision!?

I dropped down on my knees, my free hand holding on to the wall.

My vision suddenly went white and I was floating in the air, and before I knew it I was on the floor panting for breath.

I stood up slowly, taking my time ,my vision getting back to me.

I looked at the mirror. Not a single change. Phew.

"Hello!" I jumped as I heard someone's voice.

I turned around almost immediately. It was a small firey bird-like creature, with beautiful red feathers, and purple eyes. At the end of its tail was a flame.

It was pretty cute but you never know who you can trust.

It was flying in the air looking at me.

I held my finger out for it to settle on.

"Why thank you! My wings are really getting tired." Came the voice again.

I flinched when it landed on my finger. It's claws were sharp but gentle on my skin ,it's feathers felt warmer than a sunny day at the beach.

The bird nuzzled a bit on my finger before doing what seemed like a sneeze.

You know the sparks of coal? Something just like that came out when it sneezed out of its feathers.

"Bless you." I said to the bird with a smile on my face.

"Thank you!" Said the voice again.

"Would you just show yourself already." I said.

"I'm right in front of you Talia." Said the voice.

My eyes darted around the room looking for who was there.

I heard a sigh.

"Down here-the red bird."

I looked at the bird. The curves of its beak curved upwards. It looked like it's smiling.

My head cocked to the side.

"Ok so I'll introduce myself since you barely know me."
Said the bird.

I backed a step.

"I'm Ash, your partner in other words familiar."
It said pointing it's wing at itself. "I know your shocked about this whole thing but your not a human."

My eyes went wide at the last part, my free hand covering my mouth in surprise.
