So what exactly are you, Feng?

Like I said, I'm a cat demon's shadow.

Hmm... Why did you appear now of all times?

Currently, I was in utter darkness, I can't see anything, but I can see Feng, he looked like one of those bald cats, except he had a devil's tail, apparently, as the following conversation took place.

... You see cat demon's, unlike other creatures, don't appear the moment they come to be, they are laying dormant until their body's first blood.

What do you mean body? You sure don't have a body. And what is first blood?

See, a body is the person we belong to, so in my case you are my body. First blood is when our body, tastes its first drop of blood, only then do cat demons develop into creatures, and have a body of their own.

But you're a shadow, you don't have flesh and bones like an actual creature. So what happened to that?

Yes I will. Cat demons have the choice to choose which form they want to take when they start developing. We have three choices, the form of which they can appear as normal cats, or the form of a beast, or a shadow, each has its own advantages and disadvantages. I would have chosen the beast form but I had my reasons and chose the shadow.

Why did you take the shadow even though you wanted the beast form?

Ash already has a body of his own, and can do anything at his own will, and its separated from you. I thought that if I took that form I couldn't possibly protect you, since like what happened with Ash he cannot come to you and help. So I took the shadow form for which I can change to different forms though still a shadow, and I'll always be stuck to you, so that I can protect you.

Y-you'll protect... Me?

Yes since you still remain my body, I have to or else I'll just end up dieing myself. And I'm pretty sure that Ash boy won't be happy if I didn't. Plus I have to protect the queen of dragons or else the dragons would have my head... Though I don't think that's possible because beheading me is like chopping endless clouds, another advantage of this form.

I felt something touch me out of the darkness as what felt like more than 4 hands holding me doing something I couldn't quite pin point.

That's when I heard Feng growling in my head.
