Volter's POV

I sighed to myself. I feel so tired.

It's just 4 o'clock in the afternoon so why in the world do I feel tired?

I headed to my room to see how the nurses are doing.

As I turned the corner I saw the nurses leaving the room, one of them closing the door behind her.

She spotted me, bowed slightly, and spoke, "Good afternoon sir. Volter."

"Good afternoon, may I know how she's doing?" I spoke the professional tone kicking in.

"She's doing quite well. At this rate I expect that tomorrow she'll be able to regain her movement, by the second day she'll regain her flexibility, and in the third day she'll be back to good health."

"So she'll regain her health within three days?" I questioned slightly surprised.

"Well, yes, remember, she's the alpha, her recovery time is less. Not to mention the fact that the frost that's covering her is doing such a big and important job for her recovery." She explained.

"Okay, guess I'll keep an eye on her til-"

"I suggest you don't do anything alarming." She interrupted me.

"Why?"

"She's still recovering, any alarming or sudden movements can make her feel threatened, just like any dragon, even with the power she holds. Also since she shifted for the first time to her full form, that is also another reason since she will be new to most of her senses." She explained.

"Wait... You mean she's already awake?"

She nodded. "Anyway I have other things to complete sir. , if you need anything else be sure to let us know." With that she left.

I sighed deeply before knocking on the door as I opened it quietly.

I peeked inside.

She sat on the bed looking at her hands in deep thought.

I shut the door behind me not causing a sound before she snapped out of her thoughts and looked at me eyes slightly oval like.

I pressed my lips in a thin line, as I stepped closer, "Princess... You're awake..."

She looked at me, a strand of hair falling lose in front of her eye.

I bit my lip.

She looked quite.... I'm speechless actually.

Those eyes looked amazing.

I reached out to remove the strand of hair away from her eye.

Her eyes slit so thin, that I'm pretty sure that they don't exist anymore. A low hearable growl left her throat, as her teeth became see able. Her hands grip tightening on the sheets.

I pulled my hand back, I didn't mean to threaten her.

"N-no- no , I mean you no harm - s-see?" I pulled out a sheet of paper from my pocket and folded it quickly as I can, and when I was done-, "Tada!"

I smiled in a friendly way as I made an act to something special.

Her pupils ovalized slightly, as she took the paper chicken from my hand.

She studied the thing for a moment before she looked at me mischievously.

"Uh... You want another one?..."

This time I made a paper crane, those are known as a sign of peace.

As I handed it to her she didn't take it,she just looked at it quietly, before taking a glance at her hands, then ushering them in a gesture in a way where wind flows through.

I was right, as I felt a breeze and the crane was gone.

I looked around for where it could be, only to find it hovering in the air, I glanced at the princess only to see her looking at the crane eyes partially round only to suddenly slit again.

The crane changed shape as it became a living creature, a small grown swan, around the size of a finger.

My eyes widened. It takes real skill for such spells to be mastered. So this shows how powerful she is.

The swan came closer to her as her eyes became round, a smile I couldn't miss came across her features.

She giggled as the swan began to peck her hair.

I cleared me throat.

Her eyes ovalized as she looked at me. The swan hid behind her peeking out.

I bowed, "I... I-i hope you feel better Princess." This the first time in all my life that I felt quite nervous. I'm guessing it's because I'm facing someone much more powerful than the average dragon.

There was a bit of silence before her giggle followed.

I looked up at her. "You're funny." She spoke.

It kinda shocked me at how kind she was.

"You... Think so?" I asked, straightening myself.

She didn't reply, instead a smile with pure kindness gave it all away.

She looked around the room, "So, where's Ash, and the others?"

"Who?"

"Ash, Jasper, James, Sebel and the other kids? You don't have a clue don't you?"
