My ears rang as rock crashed into the ground near me. Dirt flew into our faces as we hunkered down behind a fence, the only form of protection.

" Steady men!" Galmar shouted, his axe in his hand as he braved the fire.

I watched as another boulder landed on a line of men next to me, crushing them. Dirt and blood caked my face and armor, bits flying into my mouth.

" They'll slaughter us if we stay here much longer!" I shouted, standing with Galmar.

Galmar seemed to ignore me as he looked across the battlefield. There, Ulfric stood before a second battalion.
He lifted his axe, waiting a moment until the catapult fire before us ceased. Our own catapults paused, until he dropped it. They loosed flaming stones as both battalions charged forward. We met the first gate, killing the Imperials with ease.

Within the gate, however, was a different story.

Mages fired spells at us, slowing us considerably. The second gate was closed, and Imperial and Whiterun soldiers alike flooded the yard and soon outnumbered us.

" The gate! Open the gate!"

I looked up at the top of the wall, eyeing the lever. Just as I sliced my sword through a Breton, I noticed a tall figure swinging up the wall. The figure flowed with skill and accuracy, unmatched in their foes. They finally kicked the lever to the gate, allowing access to the rest of the troops. The figure, who I can now clearly see as a woman, lept off of the bridge and landed gracefully next to Galmar and myself.

The woman was beautiful, her exotic white hair blending nicely with her milky skin. It was obvious she was Nord, but what enthralled me was her eyes. One was smooth, similar to a moonstone. The other was a bright gold circle encompassing a deep black pupil.

More troops flooded from the city, barring us from entering. The woman turned her face to the sky before yelling.

" STRUN BAH QO!"

The sky opened the flood gates and poured rain down on us. Lightening struck our foes, leaving us untouched. Men fell left and right before us, dwindling their numbers.

" It is good to have you here, Asdis!" Galmar said excitedly, tearing his axe through a mage.

Asdis, the woman, pierced her sword into a man nearby. " I'm offended you started without me." She quipped, a small smile playing on her lips.

" Sorry, we thought you were a little unobtainable." Ulfric butted in, cutting down someone behind her.

" I'm going to ignore the annoyance in your voice." She said, sheathing her sword. Asdis lifted both hands to the sky, lightening gathering in her hands as rain poured down her features. Lightening struck her several times, illuminating her entire form as it overtook her. I was in awe of how powerful she was, and I wasn't the only one. It seemed that several other men had stopped to admire the woman. She suddenly released the magic, sending bolts through our opposers, killing them instantly.

A few still lingered, and one made a bold move toward her. I lept between them, our swords clanging as I set him ablaze.

" Thank you." Asdis said, nodding at me.

" Anytime, Gorgeous." I said with a wink, making her cheeks as red as the flames I just burned a man with.

" Don't be disrespectful, Althea. This is the Dragonborn." Ulfric claimed, giving me a jealous look.

" Beautiful and powerful, aren't I lucky."

" And who are you?" She questioned, making her way up to the doors to the city.
