I kissed Silva's head lovingly before turning to Lancion.

" You two behave for Uncle Vignar. I'll come for you as soon as we are finished here." I said, placing a kiss on Lancion's cheek.

" Bye Asdis! I love you!" Silva claimed, throwing her arms around my waist. I hugged her back, burying my face in her hair.

" I love you, too."

I waved goodbye to Vignar and the kids as they rode off in his carriage. Saddened by their departure, I made my way to the back of the lot, where Ulfric and Galmar spoke.

" I'm headed to town for some personal business, do you guys want any-" I began, but stopped to obverve the sight before me.

Galmar sat on a tree stump, sharpening his blade with a small stone. Ulfric stood, chopping wood ferociously with the axe. His shirt was tucked into his waistband, leaving his chest bare. Sweat glistened off his shoulders and abs, making it hard to look away.

" Um-I-- ahh." I stumbled, heat creeping up my neck as I looked down, avoiding Ulfric's gaze.

" You alright, girl?" Galmar asked, eyeing me curiously.

" I was just going abs- I mean ask if either of you needed something from town." I sputtered, the flames across my cheeks growing as Ulfric and Galmar approached.

" I'm fine." Ulfric replied.

Oh, I agree.

He turned to Galmar, " You?".

" Nothing for me."

I nodded, dying to get away from the awkward situation. " Alright, well, I'll be back." I squeaked, turning and leaving the two alone.

" Oh you are going to pay for that later." I said to Ulfric, returning to my seat.

" For what?" Ulfric replied, splitting more wood.

" Don't act coy with me." I chuckled.

" Do you think it worked?"

" I think you had the most poise and well-articulated woman I've ever met stuttering around like a blithering, love sick puppy." I said, setting my axe down beside me. " You best be careful, women like her don't take kindly to being embarrassed."

Ulfric smirked at me, " I can handle her."

" I seriously doubt that."

Later, Ulfric, Asdis and I sat at the table, eating while we discussed plans of attack.

" Whiterun is our best bet at overtaking Imperial forces." I said, pointing at the city on the map.

" You won't be able to take the city without a fight. If Jarl Balgruuf does not surrender, he will call for Imperial aid immediately." Asdis claimed, popping a grape in her mouth. " Question. Why does the Empire have control of Falkreath? Didn't I give that to you when we made the temporary truce?"

Ulfric did not meet Asdis' eyes as she scrutinized them. Her eyes widened as she realized the truth.

" You lost it?!" She scolded, rolling her eyes at us.

" Asd-"

" I literally handed Falkreath to you on a silver platter, and you just let it slip through your fingers?" She continued heatedly, cutting Ulfric off. " Did you at least reclaim The Rift?" After another brief pause, she sighed clearly exasperated. " I can't believe you two."
