Wanderer P.O.V.

The stallion beneath me shuddered against the cold as we traveled the back road, the moonlight illuminating the trees in an eerie way. The horse was beautiful with dark grey fur that faded into a black mane and tail. He had been my horse since my stay at Windhelm and was a true companion. My loose hair blew in front of my face as we continued down the darkened path. Thunder boomed overhead as lightening lit up the sky.

" Asdissss-"

I turned to look behind me, searching for the person who whispered my name.

" Asdissss-" It said again, from in front of me. I whipped my head around and saw no one. Shaking my head, I urged my horse on, eager to get home.

It wasn't really home, but it was what I could afford on such short notice. The small cottage was secluded and quite impossible to find. Just how I liked it. After tying the stallion to the fence, I pushed my way through the door to find the fire roaring and the back of a man facing me.

" It was hard to find you, I'll give you that." the voice said, a voice I knew all too well. " But no one can hide from me, Wanderer." Ulfric said, turning on me with a mug of mead in his hand.

" What are you doing here Ulfric?" I said, not really interested why he was here.

" For you." he said, offering me a mug as well. I took his offering, settling myself in front of the fire.

" I'm flattered. Now that you've found me, leave." I said, curling my legs beneath me.

" I'm afraid I can't do that, you see-"

" Shh." I hissed, listening intently on the howling wind outside. Something moved very slowly as to not make noise.

" Wanderer, I-" Ulfric tried to start, but was cut off with a whisper.

" Asdissss-" it said. I held up my hand to Ulfric, gripping the knife at my side firmly. A foot fell on a floor board behind us, softly and quietly, but not quiet enough. I spun, throwing my dagger into the eye socket of the creature. It fell down in agony, gripping its face.

" Ahhh! You crazy wench!" it screeched. I rolled my eyes and lifted the thing up by the collar.

" Who are you and why were you following me?" I demanded, holding it precariously close to the fire.

" Ha! As if I-"

I dangled his feet over the fire, flames erupting on his shoes and long coat. He screamed as the fire burned his flesh.

" ALRIGHT I'LL TALK!" I begged, panting in pain.

" Thought so." I added, dropping the creature to the floor.

" Movarth! He sent me to scare you off! So I've been stalking you." it said, holding its charred flesh.

" Why?" I inquired, bringing a knife dangerously close to his leg.

" I don't know! Maybe because you've been killing our kind?" it continued, eyeing me cautiously.

" Thank you for your cooperation. Now scram." I said, opening the door to my cabin for him to exit. " And tell Movarth thank you for the greeting."

The used to be man turned to vampire ran off into the night, disappearing in the darkness. Ulfric came up behind me.

" You're letting him go?" he asked.

" No, I'm hunting him. He'll lead me to Movarth." I finished, beckoning him to follow. " Come on, if you are here you might as well be useful. Grab your things and hop on. " I said, mounting my horse. He ducked inside the cabin before coming back out and getting on behind me. " Hold on tight. I like to go fast."
