The longer the night went on, the more drunk everyone got. I noticed Ulfric on the throne again, that blasted redhead in his lap. I glanced around the room for Asdis, but did not see the white-haired woman. There was a sudden bang of the doors at the end of the hall, and the crowd gasped. A hooded figure parted the crowed, the beginnings of spells in both of his hands. Ulfric stood from his throne, sobered by the menacing character. I came to stand beside him, suddenly feeling unsafe without the large war axe strapped to my back. No one in this room wielded weapons, a precaution taken beforehand to deter fighting.
" Who are you, what is your business here?" Ulfric said, his voice breaking the silence of the hall.
The figure said nothing as he came to the base of the stairs. Ulfric stepped forward.
" Explain you-"
"Silence!" The man said, a wave of magic pushing Ulfric back into his throne and binding him there.
Everyone reached for the weapons that weren't there, and a few conjured spells.
" You'd be wise to leave while you still have your life." Jarl Balgruuf warned, clenching his fists at his side. I came to stand in front of Ulfric, the face that this wizard was far more advanced than anything else I had seen.
" Is that so? I am here for one thing, and one thing alone." the figure said, magic still licking his palms.
" And what is that?" I questioned, an unsettling feeling pitting itself in my stomach.
" The Dragonborn." the mage said, removing his hood. It was obvious he was Nord, with is fair hair and hardy stature. His eyes glowed an unnatural blue, magicka flowing through his system. " I want the Dragonborn."
" The Dragonborn hasn't shown his face for years! That coward disappeared when his country needed him most!" Ulfric shouted behind me. I glanced back at him, trying to silence him with a glare. If only he knew what I knew.
" You are a bigger fool than I thought, Ulfric Stormcloak. The Dragonborn is here, in this palace. Bring me the Dragonborn." the mage said, suddenly pulling a young boy from his mother's arms. " If the Dragonborn does not come, I will start taking the fingers of this boy." he threatened, throwing him with ease on top of the nearest table and pulling out a dagger, holding it close to his hand.
" You wouldn't dare-" I said, watching his movements closely.
" I would. And if any of you try to stop me, I'll blow you all to Oblivion with the rune on the floor." he said, motioning to the floor. Etched into the floor was a strange rune I'd never seen, larger than the normal rune. " Now, the Dragonborn."
" The Dragonborn is not here, release the child!" Ulfric pleaded from the throne, straining against his constraints.
" Lies. One." he said, the room shifting uncomfortably.
" I swear to you, the Dragonborn has been gone since the fall of Alduin!" a Legate said, holding the mother of the boy back.
" Another lie! Two!" he yelled, glancing around the room. " You are trying my patience, Dragonborn! Come to me before the boy loses a finger!"
" Please! Let my boy go! If the Dragonborn was here he would reveal himself!" the mother pleaded, struggling against the Legate.
" Three." the mage whispered, driving his dagger into the finger of the boy. With a sickening scream, his finger landed on the floor, blood covering his hand.
" This is going to be a long night, Dragonborn! And the boy only has so many fingers!" the mage yelled.
My stomach churned and anger brewed in my chest. Where are you Asdis?

Hayran Kurgu" That's bullshit." I turned, surprised at his use of language. " I don't know why you have such an aversion to this, but it's bullshit." Ulfric said, advancing on me. " If you're worried about your past, stop. I don't care about it, and if you have...
