CRIMSON RAIN
。。。
jaemin needed to kill somebody.
he needed to see blood ooze out from somebody's neck. he needed to see somebody's life slip away from them.
once the words processed in jaemin's head and his thoughts settled into a mass of pure chaos, he immediately left jeno's warm touch and took off running as fast as he could. jeno got up almost immediately and chased after the male, confusion and worry clouding his mind.
was it too early? was he not ready? jeno's mind clawed at any reason jaemin would react such a way towards those three words. if anything, he thought the timing was perfect, guess not.
the rain was making things harder for both of them, but jaemin used it to his advantage to stray away as far as possible from jeno. his own body was already soaked up to the touch, clothes weighing down on him, but he had no intentions to stop.
the splashing of puddles behind him only urged him to move faster, to think faster.
almost everybody had already made their way into the safety of their homes, sheltering themselves from the raging storm outside. every home or store he passed, it was just another person unaware of the event that was going to take place in only a couple moments from now.
chasing jaemin was deemed as a difficult task for jeno. even through all the training he has done, running through the pelting rain admittedly wore the male out. but, jeno wasn't about to give up now. he wasn't going to let jaemin get hurt.
jeno kept on trying to focus on the mop of pink hair in front of him, but it was like each time he blinked, the farther jaemin got. at this point, his whole body was running on pure adrenaline and panic. his eyes desperately darted all over the place, only to find the raindrops blurring his sight.
he rubbed his eyes repeatedly to get a better scan of the area and only saw an empty street, the only source of light being the dim streetlights.
he'd lost jaemin.
"jaemin, where are you?"
-🌸-
jaemin found it hard to breathe, his lungs were burning as he propped himself against the dampened brick wall. he managed to slip into an alleyway before jeno could catch up to him. whilst catching his breath, he rested his hands on his knees, harshly spitting out some water that got in his mouth from running.
from the corner of his eyes, he caught on to a broken glass bottle laying on the floor. he quickly reached down to grab a decent sized shard and made his way deeper into the alleyway. from the other end, he saw a figure rush into the small space.
he squinted to get a better view, but the streetlight could only reach so far. not to mention the rain that formed a sheer veil over everything that wasn't right in front of jaemin.
