the two males kept on talking as the night progressed; jaemin leaving occasionally tend to a fellow customer. their small conversation was cut short when one of jeno's drinking buddies, chittaphon (but he likes to call him ten because it's easier on both parties), decided to join in for the night.
chittaphon leechaiyapornkul, or better known as ten, is a district attorney who happened to be jeno's drinking buddy as well as johnny's boyfriend. the short male with a bright smile made his way towards the seat besides jeno and took his seat.
he greeted jeno, then moved on to the new face, "why hello there, the name's ten. very nice to meet you."
"i would say the same to you, i'm jaemin." jaemin gave a short handshake to ten then went to ask him what he would like.
"uh, i'll take a glass of red wine, thank you very much."
after jaemin left, ten immediately started to give jeno the look. you know, that look you give when you know something's going to happen, but you want to be somewhat discreet about it. yeah, that look.
anyways, jeno just looked back at the male with a deadpanned look, "are you sure you didn't drink before this?"
"bitch, i didn't drink shit except for that one bottle of water. i swear, i hate my job sometimes. i have a client right now and she's like the biggest fucking bitch, oh my god--"
"here's your wine, sir" jaemin placed down the glass cup and sent the elder a gentle smile.
"thank you, and no need for that 'sir' bullshit, just call me ten honey."
"well, okay ten." jeno rolled his eyes at how ridiculous ten was. he honestly didn't know how his uncle fell for this shorty, but he did anyways.
"say, did you guys just meet?" ten asked, sipping from his cup in a classy manner.
both boys nodded in unison.
"we were just talking about the 'nana' case a while ago, then we started to bleed into cat and dog territory." jeno summed up, giving ten the gist of what they were talking about before he came in to crash the party.
"ah, just so you know, cats are fucking superior."
"see! that's two against one!" jeno bragged, acting like a total child due to the amount of alcohol he had consumed.
"shut up, it's not like you can't deny puppies are utterly adorable." jaemin retorted, pouting.
"i mean, they are, just not as cute as kittens."
and the night went on just like that, with the trio talking about miscellaneous things while laughing about how stupid ten was when he was drunk. it was an overall great night for the three, but maybe a bit more for jeno since he did get the hot bartender's number when he had to leave.

for the rest of the night, jeno had been texting jaemin nonstop. it was as if the two were glued together by the hip.
jaemin had intrigued jeno the moment he laid eyes on him, and that was saying something because he hasn't been on the crushing or dating scene for quite some time now. so the feel that bit of attraction towards jaemin tonight, surprised him a bit.
but what could he do rather than to let his heart do its job, while he sat back and listened carefully? the most he could say now that he might've gotten a tiny crush on the boy, but that's really it.
like who wouldn't be a little attracted to that charming pink haired bartender?
