Shadow teleported to the dungeon soon after he closed the door behind him. He remembered Aurora's worried expression, and he stopped for a minute. Had he made a mistake to have this caring girl go out on her own when she could be too thoughtful on what would become of him to do her assignment?

She can make a decision. I on the other hand need to get some answers. Shadow reassured himself as he looked at the hall of guards and prisoners. I only told her to find something valuable for me just so she can get out of my way. It's for the best.

Shadow remembered the warm feeling when Aurora kissed him, and he kissed her back and they bumped into a tree together. I hate to admit it, but I feel strange whenever I'm around her. Have I moved on?

That was when Shadow started walking, looking around for anything familiar. He overheard inmates begging stuff as he passed by, "You got food" or "Free us". Some murmured other things like "I don't trust this guy" or "Is that who I think it is?". Shadow ignored them and just looked at their cells through the little windows on the doors.

All he saw were starving people who weakly glanced at him before falling back asleep. Just in case he would run into Ember's cell as he searched for Shard's. If she even had one.

Shadow pulled out his healing sapphire that Maria gave him, and held it tight, making sure that  no one could steal it from him. He was about to look into another prison cell until a guard boomed, "Escaped prisoner! Everyone to section A!"

Shadow turned around and saw a mob of guards holding spears, swords, and other weapons in their hands. "Put your hands in the air, and we will spare you, sir." the chief ordered. Shadow groaned and rolled his eyes. They must not have gotten the message yet.

The black hedgehog saw the riot raising their weapons, and he shouted, "BACK OFF!" Just when he released a Chaos Spear to the ceiling, causing a couple pieces to fall on top of some of their heads, completely freezing everyone who was left conscious in shock. But then what must've been the commander bursted another order, "Secure the area and arrest him! Dispose of him if you have to!"

Shadow just stood there, looking at everyone about to get him. Pathetic fools. he thought as he gave off a little huff, and teleported from behind a guard. He knocked him out, then went for the rest of the party.

The last one standing was the commander. He was a cat, with black and white fur, with a wicked smile, and incredible swordsmanship. Is that smirk supposed to scare me? Shadow thought as he teleported again. This time he snuck under him, grabbed the helm of the weapon while the guard still held it, and pointed the blade at him while holding his free hand behind his back.

Shadow could hear the guard breathing heavily. He was obviously terrified that one of the prisoners was willing to kill one of the dungeon staff without mercy. You should be scared. he thought as he tightened his grip on the man. What else could he do? Ask nicely to direct him to Shard's cell? Not happening. He needed another way to get there. "The keys. Now. Or I'll finish you off right here, right now." he threatened.

He heard the commander gasping for air (because one of Shadow's arms was hooked around his neck), and quickly gave him the keys. Just like that, Shadow let him go, and saw him running away. Shadow rolled his eyes as he kept playing with the ring of keys in his hand. Coward. Why do they even call him a commander?

Then he continued his search in the hallway, and saw how big the dungeon was! It was huge! Then finally he came across a cell in section Omega, where the most dangerous and worst criminal masterminds were kept in this dimension. He looked through the window and saw the meerkat he was looking for.
