Chapter 38: Who's Side are You on?

Like the last few times Sonic jumped through portals, it was like hopping through a doorway. What looked like Comedy Chimp's Jungle region was now a corridor fit for Eggman's obliteratorbot.

Sonic continued running with the rest of the team, but Shard and the man were nowhere in sight. Instead he ended up seeing-

CRASH!

"Oh cool!" Blitz said, running towards the pile of hedgehogs and bat that lay right next to a ginormous sharp rock. "Now, that's what I needed to bring my spirits up!" She right away took a selfie of herself with Aurora, Sonic, and Rouge toppled over each other in the background, and Itzy giving off a cheeky "smile" while waving at the camera lens.

After the picture was taken, Blitz and Itzy laughed and high-fived each other. "Next time, this will be with Aster on a battlefield with way more dead bodies in the picture!" Sonic rolled his eyes as he, Aurora and Rouge got up. Although he needed help getting up because of his sore back. Rouge said with a note of sarcasm, "Glad you're not hurt."

Blitz continued to brag and dance while Itzy gave off one last chuckle, and went to check on Aurora. They all look at the rock wall. "That wasn't here before, was it?" he asked. He then saw his daughter's eyes widen. "What's up, Tiny?"

Shadow had travelled to another dimension that was called "Moebius". This was Piers' world, and HQ. He was going to reside in this huge castle for awhile as the guy offered him a guest room, though he hardly required sleep.

He, Menace, and another new guy named Eric who turned out to be Rosebell's older brother shoved the group in a big room that looked to be a lab. The sight of what was in here was horrifying.

There were ice sculptures all around them, but they weren't done by some talented architect. They were real living beings. Or are they even living at all?

There were Tails, Knuckles, Sticks, more wolves frozen in place, the royal family, Queen Sally, a DJ hedgehog, and many more. Shadow nearly held his breath at the sight. Piers has plans for sure.

Rosebell was shuddering like crazy when she saw all this. She even began to cry when she saw that they were headed for an empty capsule. Ember shoved Frost to the side and burned Menace's hand and held onto her. Aster teleported out of sight, and kicked Shadow in the back of the head.

Eric pressed a button on a remote he held, and in an instant Ember and Rosebell were locked up in a cage.

"What have you done to our brothers, Eric? Please let them go!" Rosebell pleaded.

"I appreciate your courtesy Ro. But that's not happening." Eric chuckled, tapping his finger on the outside of the prison cell his sister was trapped in. "They were the connected to the Radiant Crystal before the East-West battle, right? We have all the crystals, add that with the keepers, what do you get? Power! To wipe out you, your sweetheart, and everything else that gets in our path!"

Ember tried to burn his way out, no luck. And Rosebell was too scared to even do anything. Shadow was in the middle of another battle with Aster.

"What do you even want, anyway?" Aster punched Shadow in the leg, causing him to trip.

"What I deserve." Shadow teleported behind Aster and swung him around and smashing him onto the floor.

"A taste of your own medicine?" Aster and Shadow tried punching each other, but their fists collided and they hardly moved out of their place in the air. Yes, they are flying right now.
