When we met(a zalfie fanfic)

Zoe

I opened the door to my apartment, walked into the living room and collapsed on the sofa. I got so distracted by falling over i completely forgot to go to Starbucks.

My phone beeped, i received a text from my boyfriend, Jamie.

J: where are you?

Shit i completely forgot. I was supposed to be meeting up with him at the cafe down the road. I quickly text back

Z: on my way, i lost my key. X

I could never tell him i forgot, he would flip. I grabbed my bag and hurriedly stepped back out into the rain. I didn't bother fixing my makeup before i left, the rain would just ruin it again anyway. A few minutes later i had made it to the little cafe on the corner. I stepped inside and found Jamie sat in the corner on his phone. He looked up when i got to the table.

"Wow, you look like death" he said, i never got used to his insults.

"Sorry" i mumbled pulling out a chair and sitting down.

I didn't bother ordering a drink, i really didn't want to stay for very long. I placed my phone on the table, Jamie immediately picked it up and started scrolling though my texts. He scowled and threw my phone back at me. He wanted me to screw up. He wanted me to talk to other guys just so he had an excuse to punish me.

After half an hour he made his excuses and left. I breathed a sigh of relief as the door closed behind him. I was always on edge when i was around him. I didn't love him anymore i just couldn't leave. He would kill me if i even tried to get out of the relationship.

I left the cafe shortly after Jamie and made my way back home. It was still raining but i didn't care i just wanted to get home. Jamie always made me feel worthless, he would say mean things constantly and scowl at me whenever i spoke. I hated his guts i just needed to find a reason to break up with him.

After a couple of minutes i was back in my apartment. Louise wasn't home yet and i didn't expect her to be any time soon, so i sank down on the sofa. I started to sob, loudly.
