I awoke to the sound of my phone beeping, signalling that i had a text. I sat myself up, leaning my head against the head board. I looked at who had sent me the text...Alfie. I couldn't decide whether i should read it or just ignore it, letting it get lost over time in between the other texts i would later receive. I thought for a couple of minutes. In the end, i just decided to read it. It read...

A: hey, we need to talk, Starbucks at 12? xxx

I didn't know what to do. Should i meet up with him? He was right, we did need to talk, but was he going to pull another stunt. I know it wasn't him who sent the text, but could i trust him. On one shoulder there was an angel, telling me to trust him. On the other shoulder, a devil, saying he can't be trusted. I couldn't make this decision by myself, i needed expert help. Louise.

"Louise" i shouted from my bedroom.

"Yes" she came bursting through my door.

"I need some help"

"Why are your legs stuck or something?"

"No, not that type of help. Alfie text me..."

"What did he say?"

"He wants to meet up"

"What did you put back"

"Nothing, thats what i need help with"

"Well isn't it obvious, you need to meet him chummy"

"Louise you text him, i can't do it"

I handed Louise my phone, watching her type a reply. She pressed send and gave my phone back to me. I looked at the reply she had sent to him.

Z: sure see you there xxxx

"4 kisses? I never send him 4. I don't want him to think i've forgiven him"

"Well it's sent now, you cant change it"

Louise turned around and walked out of my bedroom. I hauled myself out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. I took off my pyjamas and stepped into the shower, letting the warm water drench my body. I emerged out of the shower 30 minutes later.

I wrapped a crisp white towel around my body and another around my hair. I walked back into my room and sat on the edge of the bed. I checked my phone again. Alfie had text back a smiley face. I tiptoed over to my wardrobe and opened both doors, revealing my whole collection of clothes. i picked out a white, collared shirt and grid printed trousers. I dried myself and put on the clothes i picked out.

I unwrapped the towel from my head and dropped it on the floor, plugging my hairdryer into the wall and switching it on. After around 7 minutes my hair was completely dry. I styled it in a high pony tail and went over to my dressing table to do my make up. I did a natural look for my makeup and stepped out of my room.

It was now 11 o clock, i had an hour to spare. I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a drink before grabbing an apple and walking into the living room. I sank into the seat next to Louise.

"So, are you ready?" She spoke.

"I really don't know. I have no idea what i'm even go to say to him"

"Don't worry, i'm sure when you get there you'll find something to say"

"I hope so, it's already going to be awkward enough"

"Just remember you have to let him explain himself, don't interrupt, just listen. He's not to blame"

"Ok"

We sat in silence after that. It was nice just to gather my thoughts. It was now 10 minutes to 12, i had to set off to Starbucks. I said my goodbyes to Louise and walked out of the door.
