When we met(a zalfie fanfic)

Alfie

The day on the pier was going great. Everyone was getting on so well, it was like we'd known each other forever. The sun was shining and we'd just finished our ice creams. Everything was perfect.

That soon changed though. A guy came up to Zoe and called her a slut. A sudden rage came over me but i managed to stay calm. He then pulled her hair. That was it, i turned him around and kicked him straight in the balls. I don't know what came over me, i'm not usually an aggressive person. All i knew was someone was hurting Zoe and i just couldn't stand it. It hurt me inside to see Zoe in trouble. It was like someone was ripping my heart out. Why did i feel like this?

I hugged Zoe and she broke up with her boyfriend. i breathed a sigh of relief knowing that i didn't have to worry about her getting hurt anymore. we all walked away and all went back to Zoe and Louise's apartment.

When we got back to the apartment we all collapsed on the sofa, i sat next to Zoe with Louise and Matt next to her. Zoe put her head on my lap. What did this mean? Did Zoe like me? No she couldn't like me, she just broke up with her boyfriend. I decided to just forget all these thoughts and just enjoy the fact that Zoe felt comfortable being close to me. We sat there for another 20 minutes before i spoke.

"Anyone up for takeaway Nando's"

"Yeah" everyone agreed.

"Me and Matt will go, we need to talk about something" Louise offered.

I agreed but couldn't help wondering what they needed to talk about. They left a couple of minutes later. Zoe just stayed laying on my lap. She suddenly turned around so she was looking up at me.

"Alfie" she finally spoke.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for saving me today"

"It was nothing, you saved yourself by breaking up with that useless waste of space" i responded. Zoe sat up giggling at my comment.

"I really am grateful though Alf"

"Well i couldn't just stand there and let him hurt you like that, it ripped my heart out to see you in pain"

"Really? That's so sweet"

"It's the truth zo"

She started to lean closer to my face. Surprisingly i started to lean in to. Our lips collided. I never thought this was true, but i actually saw sparks fly when we kissed. It felt right, we connected like jigsaw pieces.

"Did you feel that to?" I asked.

"Yes" she replied putting her head on my shoulder.

The front door opened. Louise and Matt appeared in the door way and walked in. we set out all of the food and started to eat. Me and Zoe gave each other a sly look, i knew what this meant. It meant the kiss was our little secret.
