I'm tackled into a wall as I walk to class with my head in the clouds.
"You," a recognizable voice asks close to my ear, "I know you know something."
"What the fuck— Josh? Get off me— you're losing your head!"
I shove him off once the impact of attack is shaken off.
He backs up, stumbling over his feet and looking me in the eyes.
Huh. What a tragically sad expression.
"I told you to stay away from me.. so hurry and tell me. What's happened?" I ask quietly, seeing he doesn't want to hurt me.
"You're always with Minghao these days. Where was he last Friday night?"
I take a moment to look for the answer to this. I look up for a moment, and remember that I hadn't even seen him after sunset Friday.
"Actually, that's the one day I wasn't with him. I left his home early. I wanted to see Mingyu. What is this about?" I plead.
Joshua pauses for longer than I'd like.
"Jeonghan has been missing for 5 days now— this is such a safe environment that—"
I grip Joshua's neck and shove him onto the wall.
"I don't know where he is, and if you think Minghao had something to do with it, then you're damn wrong. And if you ever say anything like that ever again, I'll kill you."
Frost sprouts through my veins as I see Joshua's expression change. He was so genuine.. but now, I don't even know who I'm looking at.
"Well in that case, I want to ask you, Junhui,"
He shoves me back on the 'ask', the boy surprisingly being as strong as I.
"What's your alibi?"
He shoves a finger into my chest.
"Well Junhui?"
Shove.
"What's the matter, tell me!"
Shove.
"What's your alibi?!"
A sudden arm comes through my line of vision, it's force shooting Josh's head into the floor.
"You're going to regret ever speaking like that."
"Hao." I look at him.
Before Joshua can get up, Minghao's foot slams into his head. Internally I wince, yet for some reason don't feel sickened by the violence.
"It's over." The winner announces.
"I tried to go easy and stay away from you. But tomorrow, you'll wish you were never born."
