my apologies for this chapter coming out so late; life gets in the way sometimes :/
Aubrey Valentina
(continuation of chapter nine)
"Say something Aubrey. Please say something," he pleaded.
"I— I don't know what to say Tyler."
He sighed. "Maybe we can see where this goes?"
His eyes gleamed with hopefulness.
I smiled. "Okay."

After we finished up our breakfast, with semi-awkward small talk, Tyler and I headed back to our dorm.
The whole time all I could think of was if I had made a bad decision. He was moving out, and maybe I need to move on...
We called an Uber and I tried to get any of my last minute packing done.
"Tyler have you seen my blue workout shorts," I said flustered. I've been looking for them since last Tuesday.
He shook his head and then went to look for them under the beds.
"Is this it?" He asked holding up the exact pair of shorts.
I ran up to him and gave him a hug. "Thank you!"
I pulled away from the hug and realized how close our faces were.
"I-"
He stopped me from whatever I was about to say with a kiss. A passionate heartfelt kiss, something I have never felt before.
His hand went from my cheek to my neck to my hair. I was in a daze, it all happened so quickly.
His hand soon made it under my shirt and without realizing it my shirt was on the ground next to us. I looked at his eyes, this was it wasn't it? Maybe it is right...
But some things were never meant to last.
knock
knock
knock
Tyler continued to kiss my neck, not realizing someone had knocked on the door.
"Ty-"
"Shhh. Just ignore it."
I pushed him off of me gently. "Let me get the door, please."
He sat upright. "Okay. We need to get going anyway."
I picked up my wrinkled shirt and tried my best to smooth out my hair. I probably looked like an absolute mess. I opened opened the door smoothly and on the other side of the door was Maddox. Maddox freaking King!
He was wearing all black like usual, black jeans and a black sweatshirt with those stupidly sexy black boots. He always looked so... stop checking him out Val!
I looked up at his face. His jaw ticked and his eyes showed a glimpse of sadness but it quickly changed and filled with pure anger.
"Hey," I said quietly.
