Aubrey Valentina
I arrived at the airport with just enough to time to go through security and make it to my gate with a few minutes to spare.
"Flight number 0217 from Los Angeles, California to Boston, Massachusetts has been delayed by one hour. I repeat..."
I just want to go home! It's already enough that I would have to take two separate flights but now I have to wait even longer to make it home.
"I'm gonna get some snacks," I said to myself.
I grabbed my wallet and suitcase and headed to a stand that sold overpriced chips and candy. I chose plain potato chips and some M&M's and paid for it.
I decided to stroll around and got a few trinkets for my younger siblings.
Finally, an hour had passed and the woman came on the speaker phone and announced my flight.
I took all my things and headed towards the line of people heading to the plane.
As I handed my boarding pass and ticket to the man behind the desk, my name was yelled from behind me.
"Valentina! Wait!"
"Please!"
I turned around and saw Maddox and Tyler. What the hell?
"What are you doing here, King, Tyler?" I asked, irritated. I wanted to get home
and I was started holding up the line.Tyler looked at me. "I-I just wanted to say I'm sorry. Just don't go. I can explain, if you let me. I l-"
Maddox interrupted Tyler. "Don't you dare say it Sanders."
"Yurr holdin' up the line here!" Interrupted an angry woman beside two children.
I sighed. "I can't do this. I have to go," and with that I turned around, and I didn't look back.

I stared out the window of the first class plane seat wonder how the hell I got to this point. My life has always been one big rollercoaster of emotions and I finally thought it would change.
I've been abused emotionally and physically, I've been kidnapped, I have even committed murder—not that I'm proud of that but you get the point.
The last thing I need right now is two boys fighting over me. I've never had to deal with this before. I was never the center of attention, I always kept to myself. This whole year has been way too overwhelming.
I know they say you shouldn't run away from your problems but living back in Italy sounds really good right now. I would get more training time and be with my family again.
I leaned against the window and shut my eyes. I could really use a nap.

"Excuse me, Miss. The plane is about to land," said the blonde flight attendant as she tapped my shoulder.
I guess I slept the whole time. Sadly I had to get on another flight right after.
Twenty minutes later, I was walking towards Gate 15A. I had called my mother to let her know I was getting on the next flight.
"We could've sent the private jet Valentina," she said.
I shook my head. "No I like the plane. I've never got to ride a plane on my own like a normal person would."
"Whatever you say, now go before you miss the flight," she scolded, light heartedly.
I ended the call and got in line. I was tapped on the shoulder from behind me.
"Before you ask or yell at me just here me out."
"H-how did you get here?" I stuttered.
"Private jet."
I looked at him. The thin sheen of sweat over his forehead, his chest going up and down as if he had just ran a mile.
"Why are you here Maddox?"
"Because I—"
