The Moon Goddess's Granddaughter

Chapter I

Serena sat in despair as she watched her grandsons play with her sons and their mates. She knew that only a girl child who had the Moon Goddess's blood running through her veins would be able to look after the werewolf kind, after her. All of her sons except her youngest, Adrian, had finished having pups.

Everyone was happy about the new addition to the family but had given up hope on the pup being a girl. The Moon Goddess herself had given up hope after having five sons and twelve grandsons. Everyone except Angela, Adrian's mate, had lost hope. She truly believed that she was pregnant with the little princess they all had been waiting for.

A D R I A N

A scream erupted from my mate which caused me to freeze as I played with my sons and my nephews. I immediately rushed to her side. "What's wrong my love?" I asked as concern laced my voice. "THE BABY IS COMING!" She screamed in pure agony. I quickly but gently picked her up as I Mind-linked my family, asking them to take care of my sons. "Dad, what's wrong?" Andrew my six-year-old asked as he held my three-year-old son Axel's hand. "Hey bud, I need you to be brave and strong, take care of your brother and yourself, mommy and I will be back soon with your baby sibling," I told him as I kissed their foreheads. He smiled brightly and nodded. "Take care mama" both of the boys chorused. My mate kissed their heads before I rushed her towards the pack hospital.

"Come on Luna, one more push!" The pack doctor Elise urged Angela. She screamed and pushed as hard as she could before she fell back onto the bed, fatigue took over her body. Soon we heard a little cry. "Congratulations Alpha, Luna it's a baby girl!" said the pack doctor as she placed the baby on Angela's chest for a mere minute before taking her away to clean her up. I froze in utter shock. I never thought I would be able to have a little girl of my own. My wolf started howling with joy in my head. I looked at my beautiful wife in awe before I kissed her. "I knew it" she whispered smugly. I was merely able to smile as tears of pure joy welled up in my eyes before I nodded my head in agreement. After the nurses cleaned my baby up they handed the little bundle wrapped up in a soft pink blanket to me.

I carefully took her into my arms before I admired her beautiful little face. She had light olive skin and a head full of black hair. She began squirming in my arms and slowly opened her eyes. I gasped. "What's wrong?" Angela asked, panic clear in her voice as she looked at our daughter. "She has my mother's eyes," I said as I continued to stare into my daughter's beautiful moon-like eyes as a few tears fell out of my own. My wife smiled and motioned for me to hand the baby to her. I returned her smile and shook my head, which made her glare at me playfully.

Just then a nurse entered with a pen and a pad in her hand. She smiled politely. "What might her name be Alpha?" she asked sweetly. I looked down at my baby who had fallen asleep in my arms, "Athena" I whispered as I smiled down at her "Athena Marie Williams" I said which caused Athena to snuggle closer into the warmth my body offered. I chuckled softly before I kissed her soft forehead. The nurse smiled and left the room. "I love it... Now let me feed her mister!" Angela said with her hands on her hips. I handed Athena to her and kissed both of their foreheads. I looked at my baby girl as she fed and I knew one thing for sure, all of the men in my family be it young or old, were going to be wrapped around her little finger and none of us could care less.

I took Athena back into my arms once she was done feeding to let my mate get some rest. I held her close to my chest right next to my heart which made my wolf purr happily. I let out a surprised chuckle, my wolf hardly ever purred. "Dex, why are you purring?" I asked my wolf. He purred again before saying "We have a little princess with us, we found our missing piece". I smiled when I felt Athena cuddle closer to me. "You are going to be a daddy's little girl, aren't you?" I whispered to her softly as my finger delicately caressed her soft cheek. She wrapped her little hand tightly around my finger which made me laugh softly.

I kissed her chubby little cheeks and her forehead before I Mind-linked the rest of my family and let them know that Angela and the baby were fine and that they could meet them later. To say that they were shocked to find out that the baby was a little girl would be an understatement. They were all overjoyed, and excited, and couldn't wait to meet her. Especially my mother since she finally had someone that she could pass her powers down to.
