Blaise woke up when his Caterwauling Charm went off and he grabbed his wand. "Fuck...."

"Sorry. It's just me."

He looked and saw it was Hermione. Theo and Daphne looked up and slinked under the blanket that Blaise had conjured for them last night.

"You guys really slept down here?" she said, setting her books down on a table.

"Wanted to give 'em some privacy," Blaise grunted, his voice still thick with sleep as he sat up.

"Oh... dear. Did you even think what anyone else would say if they came down and you all were sleeping here?"

"Harry's pretty much thrown caution to the wind," Blaise snorted.

"Hmm... why didn't you guys just sleep in my room?"

"Theo's scared of you," Blaise said, wryly.

"Am not," Theo mumbled from the loveseat.

Blaise nodded silently to her.

"I see. Well, next time... just ask? I can transfigure some extra beds."

"Nah, we'd only need one extra," Blaise said, with a smile.

"I don't think it's appropriate for girls and boys to share beds in mixed company."

"Oh... don't worry. Theo and I can share a bed just fine."

Hermione gave him a look and Daphne said, "Blaise, stop being a jerk."

"It's morning... and I'm awake."

"A proper morning routine will help create structure for your day," Hermione chanted.

Blaise gave her an incredulous look and even Daphne popped her head up to stare, before snuggling back into Theo's arms. He muttered. "Sure... that's why you're Head Girl and we are the bane of Hogwarts."

"No, you aren't. It's just a few people, who...."

"The way everyone was looking at me yesterday, kinda makes me think otherwise."

"Well, what do you expect when you blind someone, cripple another and did Dumbledore-knows-what to the others? Did you expect a round of applause?"

"Yeah," Theo growled, and the Gryffindor actually snorted.

"Point taken, Granger. But you can't tell me my reputation wasn't in tatters already, before this."

"You got some sympathy from your trip to the hospital, but how should people react when you use such dark spells?"

"They're only dark, because people don't know how to use them."

"Really? They aren't considered illegal?"

"No... it depends on how you use them. They could really be helpful in a dueling situation, especially if you're trying to incapacitate a suspect, without killing them. You can put triggers in people who are child abusers and touch their child, again, it will activate. Instead of sending them to Azkaban and then releasing them back into the public."

Hermione considered his words and asked, "How do you put a trigger in curses that don't normally have one? I've only seen it done in contracts."

"You've only been able to establish terms of a contract after they were agreed to, and usually, they are written down. Your spell is a lot more powerful that way. A curse-breaker wouldn't be able to crack unless you gave consent or you die. But mine can be broken, as they weren't agreed on by both parties."
