7 Years have passed since the Cell Games, and like in the original, Trunks and Goten were born, and are now the same little kids as they were in the original story, but there are a few differences between this and the original, specifically in Goten and in Gohan.
Allow me to explain: After the Cell Games, if you remember, Gohan asked Ginyu if he could join them in their training, and nobody refused the 11 year old. So for a while, Gohan would ditch his studies so go hang out and Train with Ginyu and the Force. But eventually, Goten was born, so while he was still an infant, Gohan would hang out with them less and less. But as soon as Goten was the perfect age to train, he started taking Goten with him to train. Their training mainly consisted of Combo Attacks, Tag Team Moves, Poses, and for Gohan Catchphrases. The reason why that was important, was because between the Beginning of the training and Goten's birth, Gohan came to Ginyu with an awesome idea he sketched out for a Hero Costume when he got older. Ginyu thought it was awesome, but first he needed to do some Hero Training before he could become what he called: The Great Saiyaman! Of course, Gohan was more than happy to do it, and eventually, the force had the suit made. So today Gohan came to his training, with Goten not feeling up to it today. The Force shouted "SURPRISE!" the second he landed, which startled him. He was given a long, thin box and a small, thick box. He opened them each, and his eyes sparkled and he let out a Gasp, almost like a little kid.
"Y-You guys shouldn't have!" He exclaimed before pulling out The Great Saiyaman's suit from the thin box, and helmet from the other. The only difference between this suit and the original, is that the shirt now sports a Ginyu Force Logo on the right breast, in order to remind him of how he got to be the hero he is now! Gohan calls home and tells Goten to come, which he reluctantly does, and of course is thrilled to find out his Big Brother is going to become a Superhero! Gohan tries on the Costume, and it fits like a glove! He then asks if he can join the Ginyu Force on their heroic patrol, and the Force says yes! Gohan is now a member of the Alignment Changed version of the Ginyu Force! But of course, things can't always be hunky dory...
A lot happens like it does in the original, with the World Tournament still taking place, however when Ginyu finds out Gohan is going to join it, he decides to be there to support his student. Unlike in the original, Gohan ditched school a lot, and so not many students knew about him, but that vibe made Videl still fall for him. So Gohan just... went as Gohan, not as the Great Saiyaman, as he has not debuted yet. And it all goes the same mostly, Gohan still gets very angry when Videl is almost killed, and then defeats Kibito as Super Saiyan 2 before getting drained of his energy by Yamu and Spopovich. Ginyu attempted to shoot them down with a Milky Cannon, but they got away too fast. Shin reveals himself as the Supreme Kai like the original, and tells them about the Wizard Babidi and his plans for Buu, and so Kibito heals Gohan, and they all fly off.
The Tournament ends like the original, with 18 getting 20 million zeni and Mr. Satan winning. The others still get on the ship, fighting all of Babidi's minions, and it all goes down as the original, with Gohan being much closer to beating Dabura than in the original, but falling short as Babidi cancelled the match. Ginyu even got to fight as well, as he was forced to join Vegeta in the fight against Pui Pui... But that wasn't very necessary. Vegeta still is turned Majin, and the Z-Fighters (Including Ginyu) are sent off the ship to the tournament arena, where Vegeta still kills many people and destroys the arena just to get a fight from Goku. Goku eventually accepts, and they are sent to the desert to fight like the original. Supreme Kai tells Gohan to come with him to Fight Babidi, but Gohan replies with "I'll only go if Ginyu can come with us." which doesn't seem like a problem to Shin. So they go to fight Babidi and Dabura, Ginyu and Gohan fighting Dabura together whilst Supreme Kai deals with Babidi.
Gohan and Ginyu use multiple Tag Team Combos and Techniques they were working on, and eventually, they manage to take Dabura out, finishing him off with a Milky Kamehameha and restoring Krillin and Piccolo to normal! But that was all Babidi needed for the Sealed Ball to be ready. The Three of them see the Innocent Buu, and that confuses Gohan and Ginyu. Gohan doesn't see him as a threat, and Ginyu just wants to hug him! But Supreme Kai isn't fooled, and starts fighting Buu. Like in the original, Supreme Kai is beaten and Gohan goes to attack Buu, with help from Ginyu. But Buu used Vaporize, and Shin sends Gohan and Ginyu flying into the forest via his Invisible Eye Beam, only for it to have been too late... the duo is dead. Like the original, Vegeta knocks Goku out and aims to defeat Buu and avenge Gohan and attempt to right his wrongs, but like the original, he is saved by Goten and Trunks.
