Kaycee had been turning and twisting for hours now. Trying to fall asleep but failing every single time
She looked at the red numbers on her clock. 2:37 AM. Great, she thought while trying to lay down in a different position that hopefully was the one but again it wasn't.
She thought about one specific person. You guessed it. Sean. Sean Lew. He was the one who was running around Kaycees mind the past hours and he wouldn't let her sleep
It was like the little Sean inside her mind was mocking her and singing "you can't sleep cause you think about me, you can't sleep cause you think about me" over and over again
Kaycee signed and turned over to lay on the other side on her bed in her room at the lake house m
The whole family went to the lake house this weekend because of her dads birthday to celebrate and get a break from the crazy everyday back in their house. The whole weekend was planned as a getaway and to chill and just relax. But god had other plans for Kaycee
Sean was also there, at the lake house. Sean was basically a rice. He had spent so many weekends up at the lake house with the rices that it was a "of course" that he had been invited to brads birthday
Kaycee loved that he came on these so called getaways, until her feelings became too much to handle.
He was literally in the guest room right next to her probably sleeping like a baby
Kaycee was 22 and had been best friends with Sean for 8 years now. And still was. They've always been something more than friends. But they didn't know what. Kaycee had always looked at Sean in another way than her other guy best friend.
He was more. He was like her soulmate. She could always come to him. He was talented, sweet, extremely good looking, you could easily talk to him. Every time they were together she felt like her life was heaven.
He was perfect. And it only hit her a few months back than she was hopelessly in love with him. And Kaycee couldn't work properly anymore.

She turned around and looked at the clock again. 3:02AM. "okay that's it, I'm gonna get some water" she thought and swung her legs over to the side of the bed and got up. She slowly turned the doorknob around on her door and closed the door quietly behind her. She tiptoed down the stairs and went past the living room where the fluffy blankets still was placed all over the couch cause the whole family plus Sean of course had seen a romantic comedian movie. Her and Sean laid so close with her back again his chest and him playing with her hair and a blanket over them while they watched the movie with the whole family.
Even though it had been 8 years her siblings and parents still teased them about them being together, but they would just every time laugh it of. But recently a blush had creeped onto her face every time one of those comment made.
She smiled a little for herself as she started to walk. She had just turned around the corner to the kitchen were she was standing dangerously close to guess who - Sean god damn Lew
They looked at each other for a moment before Kaycee pulled back. So she was against the kitchen island and he was against the stove. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly while he looked down. Kaycee took the time to look at time without him noticing. He was wearing nothing else his signature gray sweatpants that rode low on his waist. His black hair was in all sides and looked like he had been tugging at it a lot. A thing he always did when he was stressed or though about a thing a lot
Sean looked up at her and smiled a shy smile "hi" he said cute and his dimples shown. She blushed and muttered a "hi" back looking down almost immediately.
After some moments Sean finally spoke up "what brings down to the kitchen at 3:15 if I may ask" he smiled and looked at her. With dimples and all. She smiled and chuckled for herself "just couldn't sleep" she said and signed and continued "too much on my mind" with that sentence Sean head shot up and looked at her. He gave her a look that said "are you okay?" And she gave him a look back saying she was okay. Clearly lying. And of course Sean knew that. "Hey, talk to me" he said while taking a step forward so he was right in front of her now. "Angel, what's wrong?" Her heart melted at his nickname for her. She remained silent and looking at the ground. He gently placed his hand over arm and gave it a little squeeze. Her heart smiled and her body temperature raised. She looked up and noticed he was right in front of her. Like literally 2 inches. She took a deep breath before slightly lifting her head so he looked down at her and they had eye contact
"Would it ruin everything we had built up the last 8 years if I kissed you"
She said and looked at him scared. She was shocked about what she just said and inside her mind the began to scream and panic of the big mistake she just made.
Before she could begin apologize she felt Sean's gentle lips on hers. She didn't kiss back for a couple of second she kissed back and she could fell Sean softly smile through the kiss.
He placed a hand on her waist while the other was right behind her at the countertop making it impossible for her to get away, nor she wanted to. She placed her hands on his neck and lightly pulling at his hair.
They kissed hard and slow purring all the love they had had for each other into the kiss. They had not intentions to rush the kiss or do more than kiss. They just wanted to enjoy the moment and not rush things.
So they stayed like that for a long time kissing hard and slow before Kaycee slowly pulled away with Sean following her lips as she pulled away.
They locked eyes and smiled the warmest smile to one another. They were both on cloud nine and they felt amazing.
"That was something" Sean said and chuckled and showed his dimples. She smiled at him "yeah" she giggled and kissed him again for a couple of seconds before pulling away and dragging him out of the kitchen in her small hand with him being dragged behind her. She went through the living room and out of the glass dores that went out to the grill and a table. And right in front of the lake. She dragged him to the edge where they sat and enjoyed the silence and each other's presence. Sean adored Kaycee while she sat there looking like a goddess. She looked so calm and beautiful. She was a ray of sunshine.
They stayed liked that for a long time. Kaycee admiring the view of the lake and Sean admiring Kaycee. After a long time Kaycee looked at Sean who she caught staring
"Why are you staring" she asked while giggling
