The twins have gone for two months and of course their parents were worrying sick. Let's go back to that day. The day when the twins 'disappeared'.
September 5th 2012 || Location: The Robinson's House || Time: 3:30 am
Samantha was walking back and forth in front of the fireplace. She looked at the clock on her right. "It's 3:30 am. Where are they? They promised me that they will be here until 1:00 am."
She couldn't wait anymore so she went to her and her husband's bedroom to wake him up. "Tom, Tom! The kids are still not here!" She yelled while she was shaking his shoulder.
"Hm?" He slowly opened his eyes.
"The kids Tom! For God's shake! Wake up we need to find them now!" His eyes wide open as he sat down the bed.
"What time is it?"
"3:38 am Tom! They told me that they will be here at 1:00 am but they are not here yet!" Samantha dragged him off of the bed and helped him stand up.
"Right, come on we need to find them!" Tom said, grabbing his robes and walking towards the door. Samantha followed.
They were now in front of the Jame's Bar. At least that's what they said to their mother.
"Jame's Bar. Come on Tom, I'm pretty sure they are drunk in there." She grabbed his arm and opened the door. The bar was the same of course. But this time, nobody was there. Only the bartender, who was doing the dishes. Samantha walked up to him. "Excuse me, can you please help us?" She said sitting in front of him with her husband by her side.
The bartender turned around with a confused look on his face, he was not expecting any more customers for tonight. "The bar is closed. You should not be in here." His voice was soft even though his manners were not the best.
"I'm sorry but we need your help. I'm pretty sure my kids came here tonight," She pulled out of her pockets two potographs. One with Roxanne and one with Axel. "have you seen them?"
The bartender took a closer look to the photographs and smiled. "Yes, they came here four hours ago. They were sitting with someone, probably their friend." Samantha's eyes filled with hope and relief. "After they talked and drank they left. The girl was clearly drunk and the boy was holding her in his arms."
"Oh my god! My poor kids! What happened then?" The bartender shook his head.
"I don't know. I didn't follow them." He said sarcastically.
"Fuck, what are we going to do?" Her husband yelled and started sobbing. Samantha was holding his hand as tears were starting running on her cheeks.
"I really hope you find them. I'm sorry but I don't know anymore details. I'm truly sorry." He said turning his back to them and started doing the dishes again.
"Thank you anyway." Samantha said, her sad voice made her husband cry even more.
They exited the door when Tom saw something sparkle on the dark hallway. He approached.
"What is it?" His wife asked, her arm wrapped around his.
"Can you see that?" He pointed to the sparkly thing. Samantha approached it slowly. She kneeled down and took it to her hands.
It was Roxanne's necklace. Her red necklace was lighting up the hallway. She immediately hold it even tighter and she started to cry again.
Her husband beside her, rubbing her back for comfort. Roxanne's necklace was probably the only thing that they now had for them to remember their kid. They stayed there in that dark hallway for hours. Both of them did not move.
Tom was thinking their last conversation that they had with their kids before they disappeared.
'Don't drink kids! If you get drunk, you would not know what you are doing until the next day and even then you won't remember anything that you did.'
'Please stay out of trouble and always protect each other.'
They both nodded to their parents and walked towards the door, their bodies slowly disappeared on their parents view. That was the last time they saw them.
At least for now...
The parents went home. Crying and sobbing, Tom's arms were wrapped around Samantha, not wanting to let go. Samantha was screaming. She couldn't believe that their kids were missing. Her puffy, red eyes were filled with tears. Tears that slowly were running on her cheeks. Tears that she couldn't stop. Both of them wanted their kids to come back. Both of them wanted to hold them in their arms again and never letting them alone.
They couldn't sleep. Too much to handle.
"Tomorrow I will go to the police. They will find them for sure. Don't worry." Tom was trying to calm her down but failing in the process.
"What if they don't? What if we won't see them ever again? What if they are dead? Do you understand how serious this is?" Samantha screamed. Trying to hold her last tears but failing.
"I know! They are not dead! We will find them!"
"Do you promise?"
"I promise. Everything will be okay." Tom was now drawing circles on her back making her finally calm. She felt asleep on his arms and her husband followed her soon after.
Both of them couldn't believe that their kids were missing. There was a high chance that they won't see them again, they won't be able to hug them again or comfort them as parents. They might even gone forever.
Is this really the end for them? Are they really in danger? Are they going to come back again? Samantha was thinking all this things inside her head.
She was hoping that this was just a dream and when she wakes up she will see her kids, waiting for her to wake up, waiting for her to make them breakfast.
Little did they know, their kids are not in this world but in Ekardian, in a fantasy one. They are not fully humans. They are half wolves. How are they going to explain to them their secret though? Only time will tell.
This was only the first night. They needed to be strong for them.
For their kids.
