Chapter 15: Mine

3rd person's P.O.V

The alarm clock started ticking. Roxanne rolled over her bed and tried to stop it. She failed in the process when the clock fell on the ground. "Shit." She mumbled. She forced herself to get up to get it. As she did, she realized Axel. His black hair was in front of his eyes and his covers were all on the floor. Roxanne rolled her eyes and picked up the clock.

She walked on her brother's bed and tried to wake him up. "Wake up you dickhead." She shook his shoulders roughly.

"Mmm. Leave me alone." He tried to say. Roxanne smirked and pushed him off of his bed. That made him jump and hit his head on his wooden closet. "Ow, you idiot."

"Get up then." She murmured and went to the bathroom. Axel sighed and got up. He rubbed his eyes and went to the kitchen where his mother was cooking breakfast. He could smell bacon and eggs. His favourite.

"Good morning, Axel." His mother greeted him and gave him a hug.

"Good morning mom." He said sleepily. Samantha put two plates on the table, filled with bacon and eggs.

"Where's your sister?"

"Bathroom, probably planning staying there half of the day."

"I'm here, stupid." Roxanne said from behind him. She smacked his arm and sat down. Samantha was smiling. Her kids finally came home. She missed them, she missed their little playful fights that they have. Axel started digging on his food while Roxanne was poking her eggs. She looked up and saw her mother's neck. Her necklace! It was here the whole time. "Mom?" Her mother looked at her.

"Yes, dear?"

"Is that my necklace?"

Axel chocked and looked up. Samantha put her hand on her neck.

"Yes, I found it the day you two went missing in the-"

"Jame's Bar." Roxanne looked at Axel who was looking back at her. Their mother nodded.

"Yes. Here." She untied it from her neck and placed it on her daughter's hands. Both of the twins felt relief. Roxanne took a closer look at it. The Crystal was not fully red. It had some black spots here and there that she never realized it.

"Fuck, we found it." She looked up at her brother. Samantha was now confused.

"You found it?" She asked.

"Roxanne, I think it's time to tell her." Axel said and put his plate away. Roxanne nodded.

"Tell me what?"

"Mom, I want you to stay calm." Axel grabbed her hand.

"What? What is it? Are you in trouble, right?" She said nervously.

"No, but we are something else." Roxanne took a deep breath.

"Do you know why we were so different from a young age?" She said and Samantha nodded slowly.

"No."

"Well, this happened because we are not fully humans," She said a hold her necklace tighter. "we are werewolves." There, she go finally said it and felt relief. Samantha laughed.

"You are-what?"

"Werewolves mom, we have ears and a tail. We can transformation into one too." Axel finally said. They both felt the awkward silence.

"Show me." Their mother said.

The twins looked at each other. After a moment they nodded and got up from their seats. They stood in front of their mother. They closed their eyes. A light came in front of them. Samantha's eyes gone huge and her mouth sightly open.

The twins changed, from humans to wolves. The last time they changed was when they fought a water monster back in Ekardian. That was a long time ago.

Now they were standing in front of their frozen mother. Roxanne changed into a bleach blond fur wolf with golden eyes. Next to her, Axel whose fur is pitch black and with golden eyes too. There was a long silence until Roxanne spoke.

"Mom? It's us, don't worry." Samantha steppe backwards.

"No, it can't be. This has to be a joke," She dropped to the floor. "all this time, I didn't know what my own kids were."

The twins looked at each other before they turned back to their human form. Axel wrapped his hands around his mother.

"It's okay. We didn't know either." Samantha looked up.

"Do you know why we were gone all these months?" Roxanne asked and Samantha shook her head. "We went into a fantasy world, Ekardian is the name. With different creatures and monsters. They told us to find The Dark Crystal and bring it back safe. They trained us and we stayed there for two months. After that we were ready. Ready to keep the Crystal away from the Dark Queen before she finds it first."

"And I did thanks to you." A voice was heard from behind them. They all turned around.

The Dark Queen was now standing across the kitchen. Holding a wand on her right hand and pointing it towards the twins.

"Fuck." Axel murmured. They slowly stood up, their hands were protecting their mother.

"Thank you for your useful information," She waved her wand and the necklace that was on Roxanne's hands flew across the room. The Queen took it and laughed. "I will take that, thank you very much."

"No!" Roxanne screamed.

"After all these years, I finally found it! It's mine! Mine!"

"Stop!" Roxanne groaned and jumped pushing the Queen down on the floor. "Give it to me!" She screamed and she tried to get her necklace back.

"No! It's mine!" The Queen yelled. Axel tried to grab his sister. Roxanne fought back. She managed to bite queen's neck. The Queen screamed and pushed Roxanne off of her. "You stupid little girl!" She stood up and waved her wand making Roxanne fall backwards into the wall.

"Roxanne!" Samantha yelled and slide herself towards her daughter. Roxanne's face was full of bruises and scars. Axel turned to his wolf form and bite Queen's neck. His teeth were poisoned and she screamed making the whole house shake.

"You...you!" She waved her wand and threw him out of the window, breaking it in the process.

"Axel!" His mother yelled.

"MINE!" The Queen for the last time screamed before she disappeared.
