Chapter 12: The Dark Crystal

Roxanne's P.O.V

When I grabbed Axel's hand and I closed my eyes, I felt weird, like going on a different dimension? I could hear the others whispering at each other.

After a minute I couldn't hear them anymore. Instead I heard a loud thud. I could feel Axel jumping and I chuckled. I opened my eyes. We were in a hallway? But not the same one that we were back to Jame's Bar. It was different one.

And what was up with the weather? It's November, almost December but the weather is nice and sunny?

I let go my hand from Axel's and shook his shoulder. "We are here!" I said and he opened his eyes. I looked around and walked forward, away from the hallway, Axel followed.

"Where are we?" I started remembering and said.

"We are near the Birdly Park. Remember when dad used to take us here?" He nodded.

"How could I forget. It was always so fun here." I looked on my left to see four people sitting on a bench. They were the only ones there. They looked like they were trying to comfort each other? One of them looked at us, but I couldn't see their faces so I ignored them.

I grabbed Axel's arm. "I can walk by myself, thanks." I giggled and let go.

"We need to go to Jame's Bar, come on."

"I don't know how but did you notice that your necklace is not on your neck?" I took a moment to realize what he just said and when I did I put my hand on my neck. It really wasn't there.

I panicked. This necklace was from my mom. "Shit! I didn't realize it! Fuck! I lost it!" I collapsed on the ground and put my hands on my face.

"Hey, it's okay we will find it."

"Fuck, Axel you don't understand! Mom gave me this necklace, it's was the only thing I had from her."

"I know, come here." I looked up at him and slide over next to him. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders as I buried my face on his chest.

"For fuck's sake, I am not responsible for anything." He rubbed my back and I immediately calmed down.

"Shush, it's okay, we will find it eventually."

My necklace. It had a long, golden chain with only one red crystal in the middle that was attached with the chain. Very simple but also very unique. Red Crystal...

Fuck.

"Axel?" I looked up at him, eyes filled with hope. He looked down at me.

"Yes?" He looked at me with a confused look. Of course he didn't know.

"I may have found it."

Axel's P.O.V

My eyes got wide open. What? We found it? We really found it? "What do you mean?" It was the only thing that came from my mouth. I needed a minute to think what was going on.

"I-I...think I found it." She repeated.

"I heard that. Where is it?" I asked and she put a hand on her necklace. No, it can't be. "Y-your...necklace? Are you sure?" I asked one more time.

"Where everything ends, something new starts. Yes, Gloria was right," She looked down at her right arm where there was a scar from all the practice that we had back at the manor. "the crystal was here all this time. We just didn't realize it. Fuck, we need to find the necklace." She suddenly stood up which made me shiver and jump. I stood up too. I was thinking Lauren's words.

It was always where you all started this adventure.

Yes, Jame's Bar was the place that changed our lives. She probably left her necklace there when those tall men kidnapped us. It might be still there, in that dark hallway.

"The necklace, it must me in that dark hallway when those tall men kidnapped us! Remember?" I said and she nodded.

"Yes, yes, you are right! It needs to be there, right? But what if they took it?"

"We only need to hope that this didn't happen. Come on, we need to be quick. Who knows? The Dark Queen might be on it right now."

And with that we both ran to the Jame's Bar. Only hoping that the necklace is still there and The Dark Queen didn't find it yet.

3rd person's P.O.V

Little did they know that the Dark Queen was with them this hole time. Hiding behind a tree and listening to their conversation. She had magic powers so she could easily teleport herself to the bar. And that's what she did.

But when she got there, inside that dark hallway, the necklace was not there. It was gone. Somebody took it. But who? She searched everywhere but failed to find it.

These little stupid kids lied to me! Or maybe someone stole it! I need to find these little thieves before them! They shouldn't know that I am here, in this gross world that they call home. She was thinking all this things but stopped when she heard footsteps.

She quickly closed her eyes and teleported herself into another dimension. She did that just in time when the twins approached the hallway.

Roxanne ran when her head hit the front of the wall. "Ow."

"Are you okay?" Axel ran up to her and helped her stand up.

"Yeah, but where is the crystal?" She looked around but nothing was there. Only rocks and trash. "Fuck, they took it!" She yelled. "What are we going to do? It could be anywhere! Far away from here, miles away!" She started crying. Axel tried once again to calm her down.

"We will try to find it. I promise."

"Fuck, it will go to the wrong hands. Wait!" Axel jumped.

"What?" He asked.

"What if the Dark Queen took it before us? Oh No, No, No, No! This is really bad!"

"Roxanne please call down. She probably doesn't know about the real world since she never came here before." She looked up at him with anger in her eyes.

"She is a fucking queen Axel, you think that she doesn't know this world? If Gloria knows imagine her! We are fucked, for real this time."

Axel gave her a hug but she was fighting. He found an idea. "Hear this," Roxanne narrowed her eyes. "It's getting dark, we can go back home, to our parents and sleep there. We will see them again after all this time. These two months were hard for the both of us. We should rest for once." He said and she nodded.

"I don't think I'm ready to see them again after all this time though."

"I know how it is, I feel the same way. Don't worry, we find a way." He said and turned his back to her.

"Wait!" He turned around again to face her.

"Yes?"

"Should we tell them that we are werewolves?"

Axel almost forget about their secret. He was used to the others knowing what he was since he is one of the chosen ones. "I, uh, no not yet."

"If we go there they will ask questions. What are going to tell them? Where were we really?"

"They will probably be shocked so let's wait a day or two, maybe then we will tell them."

"Axel," She said and he nodded. Her voice sounded sad. "will they accept us for who we really are?"

"Of course they will silly, they will probably won't be live us at first but they will understand. They are our parents after all." He said and hugged his sister, who she hugged back.

"Come on now, next destination, our home."

And with that, both of them started walking back to their house.
