Chapter 16: Everything Goes Black

Lauren's P.O.V

I woke up from a loud thud. I sat up on my sleeping bag and looked at the others. They looked worried. "What the fuck is happening?" I asked looking around. Everything changed. The sky was dark, everything around us was dark, you couldn't see anything. What was really happening?

"Shit, she found it." Aaron mumbled. Sophie looked at him and sighed.

"Who? What did she found?" I didn't know what was happening.

"Fuck! No, No!" Sophie gasped and put quickly everything inside the box.

"What's happening?" I yelled which made them stop everything they were doing.

"The Queen, Lauren! She found The Dark Crystal!" Sophie said and I felt someone breathing from behind me.

"Damn right."

I turned around to see a tall woman, around 7 feet tall looking down at me.

"Don't you dare!" Sophie yelled and turned into her wolf form and jumped on top of the woman.

"Not so fast!" The woman yelled and waved her wand which made Sophie fell backwards.

"No!" Aaron walked towards her and I tried to walk backwards. Her orange fur started to become red as blood started dripping from her.

"You all will come with me!" Aaron quickly turned to his wolf form too and tried bitting the woman but failed. "You can't fight me now! I'm so powerful!"

"Axel? Sophie?" I ran up to them, both of them were hurt really bad. I tried to wake them up but I couldn't, they were unconscious. Before I could think of something, a large black light came and wrapped us all. "No! Stop! Please!" I tried to yell but the light was covering my face making it hard for me to breath. She was laughing and I fell unconscious on the ground.

Gloria's P.O.V

I was looking out of my window, at my garden when I heard a thud. I looked up to see darkness. Darkness everywhere. Everybody were screaming and yelling from fear. They were running everywhere, trying to hide somewhere. Ekardian is in big danger.

"No..." I murmured. I ran down the stairs.

"Gloria! We will die!" It was Gloppy.

"No, no we won't. Calm down." I said and walked on the big mirror that I had on the wall. Gloppy was behind me. I closed my eyes and tried to find the others. I stopped when I realized they were in danger. "No...I need to go to the castle." I mumbled. Gloppy heard me and gasped.

"No! She will kill you now that she has the Crystal!" I smiled and tried to calm him down.

"It's okay. I will be fine," I said and walked towards the door. "Hopefully." I whispered but he didn't hear me. "Gloppy, stay here and tell the others to stay inside their houses and whatever they do, do not go outside." He nodded and allowed me to leave.

I left the manor as quickly as I could. Merida found the Crystal. No, this can't be the end. Right? I need, to help the others. I need to get in contact with Roxanne and Axel.

I need to get the Crystal away from Merida before everything here gets destroyed. Before the twins disappear...

3rd person's P.O.V

Now Aaron, Sophie and Lauren were inside the dungeon of The Meridail Castle. The Dark Queen's castle. Merida's Castle.

They were lying down on the ground. Helpless and hurt. Their hands and legs were tied up and they couldn't move.

"I'm sorry," Lauren whispered, looking down at Sophie and Aaron. "I should have done something and not just stand there, froze. This is all my fault." She looked down at the ground, swearing herself for being useless. "I. Am. Useless." She said and it was enough for Sophie to speak from behind.

"You are not useless, you tried to help but failed," She looked at Aaron. "just like us."

"Don't say that, you tried, but I didn't. I'm sorry." Lauren whispered.

"Don't be." Aaron smiled at her and she smiled back. "Hopefully Roxanne and Axel find a way to come back again or else we will wait for forty more nights. If we are going to be alive until then." He said and the girls nodded.

Silent spread the room. You could hear Sophie sobbing on her cousins shoulder.

"I miss mom." She managed to say.

"I miss Jack and dad and mom." Aaron added. Lauren looked up at them.

"I miss my aunt and uncle." The others looked at her with a confused look.

"What do you mean?" Aaron asked. Lauren laughed.

"I actually don't have parents," Aaron gasped. "they died when I was a baby. I don't know much about them," She looked up at the ceiling. "I only have my aunt and uncle. But for me they are my real parents."

"What?" Sophie asked. Lauren laughed.

"They adopted me afterwards and I felt like I was their child. Like their biological child. I promised to them that I will protect them, just like they did with me all these years," A tear fall from her cheek. The other didn't answer so she continued. "they probably think I'm gone now. Too bad I didn't keep my promise."

"No, don't say that. We-we will get out of here. All of this will come to an end soon and then we will be able to go back home." Sophie said and smiled. Lauren gave a small smile.

"What do you think they are doing now?" Aaron asked.

"Hopefully, trying to find a way to come back here." Sophie snapped.

"Hopefully." Aaron said.

They all fell asleep afterwards since they couldn't do anything. They were sleeping peacefully but jumped when they heard a familiar, loud voice.

"Gloria?"
