Chapter 3

Jungkook

I made sure to look presentable before meeting the investor. Although I still know that I would look presentable with this kind of looks I have. The staffs escorted me to through the office floor of the meeting place inside the building.

I adjusted my tie before entering the room.

“Oh, Jungkook. I’m glad you’re here. Your secretary went here and told me you won’t be able to attend this meeting so I already planned to leave,” Mr Bang Si Hyuk said before sitting down on the chair.

He's a long-time friend of my father and owns some of the biggest companies in Korea. He will be the biggest investor so I need to pursue him.

“I’m also glad that you didn’t leave Mr Bang. You know how important this meeting is,” I explained to him. He was nodding and I think he understands me.

“And, I already fired my secretary, so don’t mind whatever she told you,” I conciliated with him.

That whore. It was a right decision that I fired her. I’m sure she won’t stop badmouthing me to other people because of what I did to her.

“If you don’t mind me asking, why did you fire her?” He said and opened the bottle of water on his side and drink it. He spilled some water on the table and apologized to me quickly which I don’t really mind.

“You know Mr Bang, I don’t really want to be involve in my employee’s personal life issues. She’s romantically attracted to me but knowing me, I separate my own feelings from work. How could she work with me if she’s gonna act like that?” I said. I pick up the pile of folders in front of me.

“That’s what I really like about you, Jungkook. You’re a spitting image of your father. Giving you the highest position in the company was his best decision,” He continuously said. I just bowed to him multiple times and was smiling the whole time.

“So, you want me to invest in Jeon Holdings Inc?” He asked as he rummaged through the papers and reading it.  “Yes, Mr Bang.” I replied. Still with my head bowed on him.

“Your father and I are good friends, so there’s no reason for me not to invest in your company,” He said.

“What do you mean?” I asked him although I already know that he will invest in our company no matter what since his reputation and name won’t be put in shame.

“I’ll invest in your company,” He repeated and smiled to me.

“Thank you so much for your trust, Mr Bang. You can rely on us. Thank you so much,”

“It’s nothing. That’s what business partners do,” He said.

We both stood up. I shook my hands with him. After that meeting, I accompany and gave him a tour inside the company before he left.

I outstretched my arm and stretched my knuckles. That was easy.

I attended the last meeting which was 3pm. I could totally handle all the work without my secretary but I admit that it’s a bit hard without someone’s help.

I decided to go back at my office. I was planning to take a rest for a bit and hang out with Taehyung later since weekend is coming. When I entered the office, I saw someone sitting on my swivel chair. He was facing the window glass and I didn’t clearly saw who it was, but my instinct says it’s Taehyung.

“Hey, wanna hang out later? I’m tired from work, I wanna get loosen up.” I said.

“Oh God, that was so comfortable,” I closed my eyes as I throw myself in the couch. I put another pillow under my head and tried to rest for a minute. It was a long tiring day.
