I watch as Jungkook paced back and forth while facing the window. I don't know what got him feeling antsy. Was it about his father making decision without his knowledge or about the sudden meeting I set with the endorser? I don't know. But from what I'm seeing, he's not comfortable.
"Why are you so anxious? Calm down." I told him while I'm organizing the pile of papers on my table. "They're coming in few minutes. Her manager contacted me."
He didn't speak. He was looking down on the floor while his hands are both hiding inside his pockets.
I leaned my back on my chair but immediately composed myself when the telephone rang.
"Yes? Ah, okay. Let them come in." I replied.
They've finally arrived. I peep on my cubicle before fixing my suit and tie.
"They're here." I reminded Jungkook and he seemed somewhat startled with what I said.
"W-what?"
I sighed. "I said they're already here."
"Oh y-yeah, let them come in." Jungkook nervously answered. What the fuck is wrong with him.
I stood up right beside the door while Jungkook was leaning on the wall as if the meeting is nothing to him. He was very anxious earlier but it looked like he calmed down now. I heard him exhaled loudly.
"This way please."
We heard one of the employees escorted them until the door finally opened.
"Hi!" A woman appeared first and I greeted him by bowing and shaking hands with him.
"Good morning Ms. Jisoo Kim, you must be Ms. Lee's manager?" I asked him while smiling widely. "I am Mr. Jeon's secretary."
I glanced at Jungkook who's just standing beside the door and right before I tell him to greet them because it looks like he doesn't have any intention to, he cleared his throat before stepping in.
"Oh, hi. Good morning. Come in please." He said firmly.
"Ah yes, it's nice to meet you." Manager Kim said as she shake hands with Jungkook as well.
I peeked at his back when I noticed that he's not with someone. I thought Ms. Lee will come.
Manager Kim noticed that I was looking at her back. I decided to ask her first if she really came here by himself.
"Where's Ms. Lee? I thought--"
"Oh my god hi! Sorry, I'm a bit late, I just went to the comfort room."
A perky brown haired woman bounces to the door wearing a wide smile. She must be Lee Ji Eun. She bowed to me and I did the same before she turned to Jungkook and gave him a hug which surprised us both. His eyes darted at me and fear crossed his face before he mouthed.
