It was the day after tryouts - our first practice together.

I made my way out of the deserted changing rooms once again, hair in a high ponytail swinging frantically side to side. I was soon stopped in my tracks when I heard a voice behind me once I exited the changing rooms. I thought everybody was outside.

"Well, if it isn't the beautiful Cheyenne Williams." The voice spoke, in a soft, velvety tone that made me melt.

I turned to see Hayden stood leaning against the wall by the side of the girls changing room. His caramel hair stood in the most perfect of quiffs. His white shirt clung to him like a koala to a stick of bamboo. His gorgeous green eyes merged into mine.

"Oh, hi Hayden.." I murmured, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear, though it just kept falling back out.

"Here, let me get that." Hayden must've noticed it also. He walked towards me a tucked my hair behind my ear ever so delicately. I felt my cheeks go red. God, Chey, what's wrong with you?! You don't blush! You don't even 'do' boys.

"So, you were pretty good yesterday, Chey."

"How do you know my-"

"Nickname? Just heard it going around, don't worry." He winked playfully and I could feel a shy smile take over my face. I looked to the ground and started to make my way outside. I was immediately wrapped in someone's arms in a friendly hug.

"Awh, Chey, you made it!" Dakota exclaimed as I pushed him back, giggling.

"Yeah, the Changing Room monsters mustn't have come out yet." Hunter murmured, sarcastically.

"Can it Campbelllll" I sang, bouncing past him and shoving him in the process. A victorious smile lay on my face. He snarled back at me and I simply laughed, pretty much in his face. Logan shook his head in disapproval but I could see a half-smile was planted on his lips.

"Alright team, today we're just going to work on times and improving them." Coach informed us. He better not be going easy just because I'm on the team because I could probably beat all of these guys in one go!

"You're all going to be paired up for warm-ups. You know what to do guys. Whoever's paired with Williams, just show her how it's done." I smiled gently towards the coach and he returned the gesture, but I could feel Hunter's eyes rolling behind me.

"Alright, Samson go with Scott." Kota shot a sympathetic look towards me and I pouted my lip out, pretending to be sad.

"Campbell with Brooks."

"Yes mate!" Was all I heard as the two fist-bumped like seven-year-olds. They did some crazy handshake thing and, if I'm being completely honest, it seemed pretty cool.

"And Williams...you go with Miller and Jackson." I nodded my head and made my way over to Kai and Will.

"Okay guys, I have no idea what I'm doing." I admitted, awkwardly biting my lip.

"Alright well just put your hands on your hips..." Kai instructed and I followed his instructions. "Stick your head out. And then back in again. Now move your arms in as your head goes out and then just keep walking round like a chicken!" Once I realised what he was doing I hit him on his arm. Hard.

"Kai!" I exclaimed whilst he fell into a fit of laughter, as did Will.

"Don't worry, Chey. He does it to everyone. S'pose you could say he's the prankster around here." Will spoke, nudging Kai to wake him up from his fit of giggles.

Why did Kai have to be so goodlooking and yet have to be such an idiot?! Okay...maybe what he did was kinda funny...

"It's just basic stretches and mobilisation, Chey." Will informed me, so I thanked him with a friendly smile before jokingly glaring at Kai.
