Thursday came around and I was sat at the far table in the canteen picking at my food. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Poppie looking over at me, all of a sudden she started storming over to me and she slammed her tray on the table.

"Look, you can't ignore me forever, you haven't spoken to anyone for days. C'mon Alice. You don't look well. What's wrong?" She shouted at first and then lowered her voice gradually.

I looked back down towards my food.

"C'mon you can tell me! We're best friends." She said the last part as if she was in pain.

Tears started filling my eyes and within seconds dropping down my cheeks like a mini waterfalls. Poppie stood with her back straight and walked over to me, she wrapped me in her arms as I cried and let out all the pain I was holding onto.

Moments later she spoke again.

"Hey, come on stop crying. Everyone's watching." She giggled whilst wiping the tears from my face.

Her giggle made me realise she was right. Everyone surrounding us was looking at us strangely. But she was right about another thing, she is my best friend and I can tell her anything. I started giggling with her as the kids on the other tables turned back round.

"See, you just need your best friend. Mine later okay." She demanded. I nodded my head and hugged her back.

I finished the day without anyone else talking to me and headed over to Poppie's. I ended up walking there because her and her mum had to do something before coming back.

Harry let me in and told me that she wasn't home yet. After a few minutes of sitting on Poppie's bed I walked over to Harry's room and knocked on the door.

The door opened and a tall skinny girl opened the door, her blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail, her blue eyes stared at me like daggers, I had a chill go down my spine. Her face was covered in make-up and her lipstick smudged slightly.

"What. Do. You. Want?" She spoke to me as if I didn't speak her language.

"Is Harry in here?" I asked her politely as much as I could. She just stared at me and crossed her arms.

"Obviously he is. Where else would he be you stupid girl." She stepped forward and poked her finger into my shoulder.

I looked down at my shoulder where her index finger was still sitting and then I looked back at her and anger started to fill my body.

"Stay away from him." She hissed before the door widened and Harry stood behind her.

"I think you should leave." He spoke harshly.

I looked up at him and turned around ready to go. His hand reached out to my arm and stopped me from walking away. I turned my head around and watched what he did.

He turned to the girl that stood next to his door with a smirk planted on her face. Harry gave her a cold look that scared her stiff.

"Go. Now." He growled towards her.

"Why do I have to leave, I was here first and you told me that you didn't have a girlfriend."

"I don't have a girlfriend, she's really special to this family. Now get lost and never speak that way towards Alice again."

She huffed, stamped her foot through her arms down at her sides. She walked back into the bedroom and grabbed her bag from the floor. Once she grabbed her stuff she shoved past us and left.

After we heard the door close, he turned towards me and i turned my body towards him.

"Sorry about that." He said scratching the back of his head.
