Thursday came and I was standing in front of the exam entrance, sweat building up in the palms of my hands and my heart pounding so loud I could hear the pounding in my ears.
"Don't worry about it and keep calm, you'll do great." Dylan whispered to me as he passed by me.
I smiled to myself and entered the exams head on, I was placed in the middle of everyone, Poppie was three rows to the left of me, Dylan was two rows in front of me and Sasha was in front of me with Josh to her side.
She never told me how it went with Josh if she went through with it. After the exams we got to go home early. I went to the toilet before meeting Poppie outside, Sasha was in the bathroom sorting her hair out.
"Hey." Sasha spoke first.
"Hey." I said whilst washing my hands.
"What are you doing now that we get to go home." She asked.
"Oh I'll be going over to Poppie's today."
"Oh, cool."
"Wanna come with us?" I asked.
"I'm not sure that Poppie likes me, so I will have to say no."
"I'm sure she likes you, unless you would like to come and join us on the weekend? We're going out to the mall."
She looked down towards her hands and back up to me.
"Unless you're scared people will see you with low class people." I said.
"No. I'll come, if that's okay."
"Okay." I smiled.
I gave her my number so that she could message me whenever she wanted. I left her there and walked over to where Poppie was waiting for me. I went round to hers to have a break from everything.
"How do you think you did?" She said stretching out on the bed.
"I did the best I could, I guess" I said shrugging my shoulders.
I jumped onto the bed beside her and stretched out.
"So, you're visiting the new school on Thursday." She looked at me.
"Yeah but we're leaving on Wednesday. Don't forget." I laughed.
"I would love to not go to school, we should get a break after these exams."
"Um, Poppie you know that we break up in four weeks right?"
"Yeah yeah, I know that but common. You get a break, why not us." She laughed nudging me in the side with her elbow.
"Just wish I could come with you." She said this so quietly I don't think I was supposed to hear her.
"Well why don't you? We could visit the new school together and then I will ask my mum if we could stay there for the rest of the weekend as my birthday present, I know it's not Italy but its America."
I sat up on the bed and watched her mimic me, we crossed our legs and she had such concentration I swear I could hear the clogs going round in her head. After a couple minutes of her sitting there in silence she grinned at me.
"I'll go ask my mum." She jumped off the bed and rushed out of the room.
I could hear her thumping down the stairs, I picked my phone up from the stand where I had placed it and called my mum to ask. It took her awhile to answer the phone but she answered eventually. I asked her if Poppie could join us on our visit and of course she said yes but Poppies mum would have to say yes too. It took us a few hours to get her mums approval and in the end she said it was fine.
