"Are you okay? It didn't scare you did it?" He looked at me worried.
"No, I'm fine." I got out of his grip and ran towards the bathroom.
Once I was in the bathroom, I locked the door and hung my head before starting to splash water on my face to cool myself down. I breathed in and out for a couple minutes before I opened the door again. I was halfway down the stairs and my heartbeat had slowed, I breathed in through my nose and the smell of fresh butter popcorn filled the atmosphere, my mouth filled with saliva, I swallowed it before speaking.
"Hey you're not suppose to start without me."
He thinks that just because I can smell the popcorn doesn't mean that my other senses for listening will be blocked, I could hear the noise of the movie starting from the stairs.
"Have you got a drink?" I asked as I popped my head around the doorframe.
"No, I forgot." He said with his cheeky smile.
Of course he didn't forget to do the drinks, I laughed to myself, I filled two cups up with water and ice from the fridge, I turned around too fast and bumped into Dylan, I didn't notice he was standing that close behind me. The cups went flying from my hands as I shrieked and the water came splashing down on Dylan covering him completely.
"I'm sorry." I said trying to hold in the laugher but it escaped and I was laughing at his shocked wet face.
"This is not funny Alice, it's bloody freezing." He said seriously, before he started laughing along with me after a couple of seconds.
He pushed his wet dark hair up with his hand and clasped his hair before biting his lip and grazing his eyes over me as if I was his prey. He looked like a model that was doing a water photoshoot.
"Now, you're gonna get it." He growled.
Before I could move he launched at me and pulled me into a tight hug getting my clothes a little wet.
"Noo!" I shrieked as he lifted me into the air and spun around like I weighed nothing but a feather.
We were both laughing at how childish we were behaving. He stopped spinning and slowly let me down with his hands glued at my waist, he looked down at me and wrapped his left arm around the bottom of my back firmly, I felt a tug that forcefully made me take two steps towards him. Our bodies close and slightly touching, his right hand glided over the side of my body and up to my face where he cupped my cheek, his left hand gliding back to my waist where he held me. His right thumb brushed my bottom lip before he leaned in and smiled at me playfully. My cheeks blushed pink.
"Ping"
Within seconds he pulled away from me realising what he was doing. His face was filled with shock, I tried to read what he was thinking but before I could talk he spoke first.
"Um, I'm going to go get a top, I'll be right back." He called out before the front door slammed shut and I was left in the quietness of my own home.
My fingers stumbled across my phone and I read the message, still confused as to what happened just a moment ago.
"Darling I have to stay at the office to finish up, I will not be coming back home tonight, I'll see you tomorrow. I love you x"
She knew I hated it when she called me that name. I messaged her back so she knew I was okay and safe. I got a towel out of the storage cupboard and wiped the little bit of water from the floor and placed the towel and my wet clothes into the washing machine and put that on. I put my pyjama shorts on and my unicorn top to replace my wet clothes.
I sat down on the sofa and waited for Dylan to come back, after half an hour he let himself in. He had his pyjama bottoms on with his checkered pyjama top, no matter what he puts on he was still hot.
"What were you doing?" I asked him suspiciously.
"Oh, Zoe called me twenty odd times and I didn't want to dodge the last one because she would haggle on about it tomorrow, she invited me to her big party. I told her I was busy and that I'll talk to her tomorrow at school, with the guys." He explained as he lifted my legs up, shuffled himself under them and placed them on top of his legs.
"Oh fun." I scoffed rolling my eyes. His smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"I'm not sure if I will be going yet." I looked at him shocked.
"Wow, the Dylan Matthews is not going to a party... shocker." I giggled at him, poking him in the side. He dramatically grab at his side as if I had shot him, he laughed afterwards as did I.
"Oh, my mum isn't coming home today, she's staying at the office.. again" he shot a worried look at me and picked his phone up and started tapping away like a madman.
"What's wrong?" I asked looking at him with one eyebrow arched.
"I was just letting my mum know that I'll be staying here tonight."
My face turned red at the thought of us being here alone... together! He obviously can't stay here, we are alone, what happens if he tries to kiss me or worse .. he does kiss me.
I couldn't watch the movie properly as I had all these questions burning in my head. My fingers interlocked with each other. His hand started stroking from the bottom of my shin to the top of my knee as he watched the movie, his face looked calm and collected. I could feel my body burning, my breathing slightly hitched, my fingers becoming sweaty. This feeling was amazing, maybe it won't be that bad if Dylan kissed me, I don't think that I mind if he stole a kiss. But why me?
I felt his body coming closer throughout the movie, his hand was traveling higher up my thigh reaching my hip, he clasped his hand around my waist and he pulled me down with a swift motion. Our faces were close to one another, my heart racing as I looked in to his dreamy eyes, his breath intoxicating my space. He breathed in and closed his eyes, he placed his forehead against mine, hesitating whether to kiss me or not, the tip of his tongue glided across his lips moisturizing them, he lightly bit down on the corner of his bottom lip.
"Is it okay?" He whispered. The words that I never imagined coming from my mouth slipped out hushed.
"Yes." A simple answer for intimacy.
With those words he clashed his lips with mine, his lips parting mine and sliding his tongue in, a bolt of electricity shot throughout my body, our tongues danced together as our bodies melted within each other. His fingers becoming tangled in my hair, my hand running through his smoothly, a couple minutes later we slowed down and broke for air.
Wow, was all that was running through my mind, before I could say anything, we opened our eyes and stared at each other.
"Wow." He whispered, with a smile playing on his lips.
"Yeah." I smiled back at him.
He cupped my rosy cheek, lifted his head up and planted a kiss on my forehead. Dylan was very gentle with me, his never done anything I was uncomfortable with. His lips were soft and I just wanted to go back for more.
As we sat up, he placed his arm around my shoulders bringing me into his chest, I buried my head into him taking in his presence. We continued watching the rest of the movie that was still on the telly. This moment was perfect and I wished that this was not a dream and if it was, I never wanted to wake up.
