Chapter 27: Marry Me
“Erin the make-up isn’t going to kill you!” I said as I tried to sit the stubborn girl in a chair. “She wants us all to look lovely!”
“Yeah but I don’t know how to put on make-up, well not professionally! Plus I don’t really like it…” she replied with a pout.
“Erin… what’s my job?”
“You’re a blogger?”
“I’m a fashion blogger/stylist now!” I say shocked that she had forgotten about that.
“Oh yeah! How’d you get to be that? Four years ago you had no sense of style! Remember how I had to help you shop?” She laughed at the memories of our past.
“Yeah well you pick up a few things when you work for a guy named Patrice and a magazine called Guise…” I rolled my eyes at her as laid out all the make-up she was going to need. I looked at the room around us and took in the semi-chaos of the rest of the bridesmaids getting ready. They were all really nice though I hadn’t been able to talk to them and only really meet them at the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner.
I felt Erin flinch as I got started doing her make-up and couldn’t help but giggle. “You can trust me silly.”
When I was done I stood back to take in my work. If Erin wanted to she could be a model but she was quite content with living off tips a minimum wage while she was working on her own book as well. She was always such a great writer!
“Wow Charlie! That looks really good! It really enhances her natural beauty! Wait till Niall sees you!” Danielle said with a wink and a smile as she examined Erin’s make-up causing her to blush.
I looked at Danielle who was as gorgeous as ever. I was happy that we were all still friends even though awhile back ago her and Liam broke it off. They loved each other but she knew he wasn’t the one for her. I felt really bad for Liam though, he really loved her. He got over it soon though and he was happily enjoying being single and doing a lot of charity work with the boys. Who knows, maybe he’ll meet his love through that.
“Anyway the bridezilla told me to let you guys know that we need to line up to head down!” She said sarcastically.
“Already? Wow…” I felt my heart pound inside me. In just a matter of moments I will be walking down the aisle. Sure it wasn’t my wedding but it was the first one I had a major part in. Patrice and I designed the dress, Erin, Danielle, and I helped pick out the theme, and Erin and I helped with the meals and sitting for tonight.
“I can’t wait to see how the boys look!” Erin said with a smile as she slipped her arm and mine and we walked towards the door, which would lead us to a hall, which would show us the congregation of wedding attainders.
The music played lightly underneath as I walked down the white fabric that was strewn with rose petals. I felt eyes staring at me, but my steps toward my place in line never faltered, even I felt my balance almost give way on the silly heels I was wearing only for the occasion, ones that I should have broken in the day I got them… I saw the groom’s face in a bit of nervous fit but a permanent smile as well. He was going to be marrying the love of his life. I took my place standing next to Erin as the bridal tune started.
She looked beautiful. Almost like a princess beyond anything. Patrice and I went with an old style that Kate Middleton had worn at the Royal between her and Prince William. Minus the sleeves and neck-line, also it had a bit more body to it. I watched as a huge smile spread onto her face with every step she took closer. She finally reached the alter and they couldn’t take their eyes off of each other, as if there was no one else in the room.
The priest went through the beginning of the whole marriage stuff and their vows, which brought tears to my eyes. I saw Harry across the way from me smiling his bum off. He was the best man of course!
“Do you Louis William Tomlinson, take Eleanor Jane Calder to be you’re lawful wife, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health, through the eyes of God, till death do you part?” The priest asked him.
“I do. No doubt about it.” He smiled as he slipped the tiny golden band the was engraved “Elounor” within the inside. I had to admit that it was adorable that he took the idea from his fan shippers.
“You may kiss the bride.” The priest finished of course there was need for him to say that as Louis grabbed Eleanor and gave her the most passion and happy-filled kiss that you would only find in movies.
The music blared in my ears as sweat from the people around me was splattered about. Gross yes but none the less fun. I watched Harry as he made his way towards me through the crowd.
“Hey!” He says loudly over the booming bass. He was practically sweating like a pig, why was he so attractive?
“Hey!” I replied wrapping my arms around his neck to give him a hug. Of course I had been hanging out with him constantly lately I still missed him when he wasn’t around. I felt him peck my cheek.
“Do you want a drink?” He asked leading me out of the middle to the side of the dance floor. I nodded, even though he couldn’t see, and tightened my grip on his hand. We reached the bar and sat close to each other on the stools.
“What can I get you?” The bar guy asked us.
“Two flutes of champagne please.” Harry ordered with a smile. “This is a celebration for my best mate.”
“I’m really happy for the both of them. Louis has always really loved her.” I commented as we watched the lovely couple slow dancing together and Louis every five seconds kissing her.
“Now that’s a proper snog.” Harry laughed as Louis deepened his most recent kiss that probably lasted for five minutes causing all the sophomoric wedding goers to cheer. I couldn’t help spitting my drink out a bit as I laughed.
“So we have a bit of a long break before we start working again. Do want to take a trip with me and the rest of the boys? You know while Louis is enjoying his secret honeymoon?” He asked smirking at me.
“Sure, where do you guys want to go?” I asked him. I loved taking trips with the boys, last week we recently went to Leeds to shop for whatever Niall was Zayn was looking for, though despite that being the worst idea on the planet, it was still pretty fun.
“To be honest I’m not sure. Somewhere peaceful though and nice. You choose.” He offered, “Whatever the distance, it wouldn’t matter.”
I thought for a second for the most peaceful place I knew, where Mr. Sir would like, where Erin and Niall would like, where Zayn would appreciate, and where Liam can just relax and get back to being his cupcake self.
“I have the perfect place!” I smirked turning to him.
