Golden Slumbers

Chapter 6: Golden Slumbers 

“Well this is quite a surprise.” Liam said after a moment of silence. Paul shot him a confused look.

“Charlie! What are you doing here?” Louis asked me.

“Well I work as an intern, or assistant over at Guise and my boss Patrice gave me a chance to spend the week with you.” I said.

“Look at it this way, at least we’re not talking with a stranger!” Niall said coming over to hug me.

“Well then I’ll leave you guys to it.” Paul said as we all took seats. I sat down in a wheelie chair across from them, which was quite comfortable.

“So what kind of questions do you have for us?” Zayn asked from the couch they were sitting on. I laughed in my head a bit. If it wasn’t stairs, it was couches as well that these boys were known for sitting on.

“Well for starters, the one question that has to be asked is who has girlfriends?” I asked turning on my recorder.

“Well Liam and I have girlfriends, and so does Zayn.” Louis responded patting Liam’s knee. Niall looked at the boys and me contemplating on whether to say anything but he just stayed quite.

“Okay then. To be honest guys all the questions on this list have already been answered so many times I don’t want to bore you.” I told them looking down at the list with all these generic questions. “Oh wait I’ve got one. What has been like to be recognized by your idols?” I asked them. They sat there for awhile thinking.

“Well when Michael Bublé came onto X-Factor in 2010 it was just so great to get to meet him. He is my idol and I like how we sort of share the same back-ground story. Also I’m a big fan of Justin Bieber, the fact we are able to chat is really great.” Niall said with a goofy smile.

“When Men in Black 3 came out and we got to go to the premiere we meet Will Smith who was really cool guy, and you know it was just so great meeting him.” Liam replied.

“I was sent this video from one of the Coldplay concerts from their Mylo Xyloto tour. He quickly said “What makes you beautiful.” Referencing our song which means he pays attention to us. I’m just a huge fan of Coldplay and Chris Martin.” Harry said.

“When we meet Katy Perry during our tour and she told us that she really liked us. She’s pretty fit and talented.” Zayn answered.

“I think all of those things. Just so much has happened and it’s great that we get to meet out idols because it’s so rare that you’re able to do that. Also to know that they like you as well is brilliant.” Louis responded with a smile.

“Wow, just so much has happened to you guys over the past two years. Have you gotten used to the fame you’ve accumulated?” I asked them.

“I don’t think anyone can really get used to it unless your born famous.” Zayn responded. This caused the rest of the boys to crack up.

“What about your fans?” I asked them.

“They are crazy!” Louis practically shouted. “Not in a bad way of course. They’re just so devoted and it’s great to get that kind of support.” He continued.

“Like we’ve said before in a lot of our interviews, we wouldn’t be here without them. They voted for us when we did X-Factor, they promoted us through Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook. They’re just so amazing.” Liam responded.

“So how’s the second album coming along?” I asked them, hoping to get a hint at what they had to offer. They sat there for a moment.

“You’ll see.” Harry replied winking. At that moment a knock came at the door.
