CHAPTER 14 : A GLINT OF STEEL

After the village that Naofumi and Kirito's companion had been saved, and now the situation had been resolved than it was before, now its time for them to go back to Kirito's home for figuring out what  exactly happen to this world, why is the wave of calamity is also occurred here, and what is the connection between the wave chevalier that they have fought before and the wave of calamity, do they the ones that was behind the the wave occurred in this world, and what exactly that got something to do with Naofumi and Kirito from two different world collide in here.

As they arrived in Kirito's house, everyone was already fatigue because of all the fighting a couple of days back as also taking care of refugees from that village before. Once they got into the living room, some of them already fall asleep when they got into the sofa. Lisbeth, Silica, Yuuki, Yui, Leafa, sinon, and also Firo and Melty are lying flat sleeping soundly already, even though they were so noisy before while the ride on the cart earlier. 

" Seems like Yui has made a new friends " Asuna says as she smile warmly and gazing towards the sleeping Yui beside of Firo and Melty 

" Yup, that's right Asuna-san, and Firo also seems joyful when she plays with Yui-chan earlier " Raphtalia also seems cheerfully watching towards the trio cutie soundly sleeps 

Asuna turn her gaze towards Raphtalia " Ne Raphtalia-san how about we make something up for them ? "

Raphtalia nods in agreement as they both left into the kitchen, making whatever they're up to while Naofumi and Kirito having a small talk regarding they event they're facing, a serious-small talk.

" So a shield hero huh? " A smirk appear on Kirito's face as he turn his gaze towards Naofumi 

" You could say that " Naofumi nodded responding to his friend beside him

Kirito : " That's why you always carrying your shield around then? " 

Hearing this, make Naofumi turn his attention to his shield and point it towards Kirito " actually, this thing can't be dislodged " 

At first, Kirito stare into his shield disbelieved after what Naofumi said " Really? it seems like a normal shield that can be unhooked so easily " Naofumi's words starting to get into Kirito's head as he starting to try and dislodged his shield from his hand, but it lead to no avail.

Naofumi : " See, told you before " 

"  Yeah " Kirito trying to regain his composure and rub his back of the head " anyway, you knew anything about yesterday? about those chevalier and wave of calamity " 

Naofumi crosses his hand and start explaining what he knows regarding to the event " yesterday, what hit all over the place of this continent was  called the wave of calamity as you heard before, basically it'll be over as we found and defeat the soul eater, but yesterday i sense nothing on any soul eater nearby, so when we finished that gigantic monster yesterday i have a hunch that was the soul eater, but i was wrong " 

Kirito : " And about the chevalier we're facing? that Orlando guy, and the white-haired that save him right after we defeat him, know any about it? "  

Naofumi seems confused after he thought back to that other two, he never facing or even met those guys before, he shakes his head as he touch his chin " No, unfortunately I don't know any of them before, not even in my world "  

A troubled look on Kirito's face tells that he concerned about the battle yesterday " guess there's nothing we can do right now beside searching for another Intel then, maybe someone around town knows anything about them " 

Naofumi stare into the troubled Kirito " what about you? Knew anything related to the events yesterday? or are you just trying to mock me for any intel ? " 

" I-I wouldn't think of it " a groggily Kirito responds to Naofumi that having a suspicious towards him " honestly, I don't know any of those thing, i never faced it before or even met those guys before. Ever I told you that me and my friends got stuck in this world?, after I choose to participate in some kind of project developed by the authority, we were asked to use this device so-called soul translator, it manage to move your consciousness into this virtual world, and after I came here, seems I don't get any lead on how to get back to reality "

Wait, does that mean he is from the real world?? Naofumi stunned after hearing Kirito's briefing just earlier, he never would've thought that someone just like him got stuck in this maybe so-called virtual. " s-seriously?! " 

" Hey what's with the reaction? " Kirito flinched a bit as he witness Naofumi's respond toward him

Naofumi trying to get his composure as he try to change the subject " um no, so you also don't have any leads huh? "

Kirito just staring into Naofumi as he confused of Naofumi's reaction before "Y-yeah..."

Naofumi : " Anyway, tomorrow i might've headed to Yggdrasil to gather up on any intel regarding the wave " 

Hearing this, make Kirito jumped a bit as he got something on hi mind " hey if your going to Ygddrasil, mind if we tag along ? "

Naofumi : " yeah, but why ? 

Kirito : " Nothing, I just wanna take Yui to have some fun with Firo since they both got newly known each other, and get close so easily, how about that? " 

After thinking it for a couple of second, Naofumi nodding in agreement " I wouldn't mind exactly "

" Then it settled, let get inside to have some of Asuna's cooked, she is a well cooker especially when it comes to her sandwhich " Kirito says as he take Naofumi to get inside his house, because Naofumi is also weary after the last fight he going long with kirito entered the house

A quite atmosphere have filled the entire house, a perfect time and place to some individual having a recon on his prey, as they both don't know that they have been observed from a not-quite-far-away woods near the house by a dark robe figure wearing a mask that appears to be a skull while carrying a machete, a red eyes glow brightly as if its a beast waiting for its prey
