CHAPTER 28 : RISE

A sound of hard steel clashed could be heard throughout the entire room, a blast of the entire element filled the room as dozens of magic being casted. shouts echoed throughout the entire room signifying the relentless battle as they put their lives of the line

" Vorpal strike " a charging sword skill had been used once again by Kirito as he Viciously launch himself plunging his sword towards Angelo's torso 

This time, Angelo parried it with Sho's double saber which seemed already in his possession, the countered Angelo did make Kirito's defense easily broken. Kirito gasped as he didn't have time to react against Angelo's attack. Shit....

" Air strike shield ! " as expected, Naofumi still got Kirito's back as he cast his shield skill for Kirito's protection against Angelo's assault

Seeing this as an opportunity, Kirito leap backwards to get a save distance " Switch ! " Kirito commanded as Asuna replacing his position assault towards Angelo 

Asuna's rapier glowing brightly, she prepped to unleash her sword skill " Million stabs " Asuna furiously giving him dozens of stabs targeting for his torso 

In order covering his body, Angelo spin the double saber as he jump backwards " heh combine with sword art online move, i see " Angelo smirk as he watch Asuna uselessly attack

" Got you now " a sudden voice emerge as a sudden attack launched towards him, revealing Leafa and Raphtalia in flash trying to hit Angelo. However, both of their assault seemed futile as Angelo manage to parried both of their attacks

" Kirito ! " Naofumi shout out to his friend as Kirito quickly turn his attention towards him, Naofumi steadily prepped his shield before him while he nods signifying for the combination attack 

Kirito launch himself towards Naofumi in fullspeed, as his sword connect with Naofumi's rage shield a blazing flame engulfed all over it. Naofumi plunge himself along with his blazing shield against Angelo

" As the source of thy power, the shield hero command thee, a wrath of dragon flowing through my shield and burned my enemy with a blazing flame of curse which eradicate all of his existence. WRATH FIRE ! " he is shouting as his shield connect with Angelo's weapon which is a blazing flame spread out burned the entire saber flowing through Angelo's hand 

" As the source of thy power, the malevolent god command thee, cover my blade with the flame of cursed as the will retaliation of flew within my veins " Angelo enchanted his magic as Naofumi's flame suddenly absorbed by Angelo's double saber and engulfed it within 

Naofumi shocked as he heard the enchanted Angelo had done. Malevolent god ?, what in the-. his thought suddenly interrupted as he witnessing his magic being repelled by Angelo, moreover its being absorbed into his weapon

Angelo manage to lifted Naofumi's shield, breaking his defence as he dashing pass through Naofumi towards his friends at the back side of him. Wha-  . Naofumi didn't have the time to react to that high speed movement of Angelo

As he didn't notice, Naofumi's right side of his body had been scratch deeply by the time Angelo pass through him. Now, Angelo pass through to all of Naofumi's companion including Kirito who happens to be at the back side of Naofumi, didn't have the time to react against Angelo's attack, everyone accept his deathly assault

In high speed, Angelo manage to passed through all of them leaving the blood trail of all Naofumi's friends. As a devilish grins drawn on his face, Angelo satisfiedly turn back while his saber glowed gloomy-purple 

" Shoulder the cross of your demise " he says still with a devilish grins " Deathly cross " Angelo slash two times shaped X which is launch a shape X dark aura towards everyone who flinch because of the earlier attack. Everyone just close their eyes preparing for whatever might comes worst to them, As everything seems hopeless, Naofumi immediately stood before their eyes holding the shaped X aura that might collided to them with all his might 

" HOOOAAAHHHHHHHH " After a few second Naofumi manage to hold it off, the deathly cross exploded around the vicinity creating a large blast furnace all round it

Everyone just stood in awe as they watch the remnant mess of explosion caused by Angelo's deathly cross. Naofumi immediately kneeled down in panted as he is exhausted because of the energy he unleash to hold off its attack. Naofumi just simply watch towards his dragonic curse armor as it slightly began shredded to pieces. He seemed manage to be able to penetrate my defenses, my body its feels ache. A flow of thought started to fill in Naofumi's head as a blood drawing out of his forhead and his mouth. No, I can't stop here, not before i got to get home. He slightly struggle to stand up straight, but he finally manage to stand tall after all

" Well, not expected for you to stand up after taking that kind of attack, i guess there's no underestimate from the shield demon " Angelo smirking towards Naofumi 

" So..rry to dissapoint...but i can't die...in a place like this " Naofumi stuttering as he hold back the pained from all of the wounds all over his body 

" Naofumi-sama...." Raphtalia weakly stated as she watch Naofumi 

Firo suddenly arise as a determined look drawn on her face " if goshujin-sama not gonna give up, then Firo too " 

Kirito is also struggling to rise up " haha forgot about it, seems almost slipped my mind, we gotta get back to our world for everyone's sake " Kirito finally manage to stand up tall with the help of his blade

Everyone whose watching suddenly a flame of guts strucked them like a thunder as they finally able to stand tall, Angelo's smirk suddenly turn into a death glare as he watch them risen up " I got tired of eradicate a pest like all of you, seems i got bored already, so...die already "

A large amount of aura engulfed all around of Angelo's body as he put up his another stance. seeing this as a threat, Naofumi shout to his friends with a sound of a battle cry " Everyone, for the sake of the ones we loved, lets win this fight no matter what and get ourselves a fine glory " 

Everyone just shout in agreement " RIGHT ! "
