"What? A quirk assessment test?" We all said.
"But orientation, we're gonna miss it." said Ochaco, her cute round face covered in disappointment. Mr Aizawa then scolded her and explained that we were going to do a fitness exam but were allowed to use our quirks to help us achieve better scores. He turned to a kid who he called Bakugo and asked him what was the furthest distance he'd thrown a soft ball.
"67 meters I think." he replied
"Right, try doing it with your quirk." he said and gave him the ball to throw and told him to stand inside a white circle. He prepared to throw it and when he let go I heard this:
"DIE!!!"
Die? All I could do was stand there, trying to keep my eye on the ball while wondering if I should have be impressed or just down right scared. Mr Aizawa held up his distance. 705.2m! I turned to Ochaco.
"That was so cool, I wanna try that." I heard other people around me say things along the same lines but then Mr Aizawa spoke up.
"So this looks like fun, huh?" He starts. "You have three years here to become a hero, you think it's all gonna be games and playtime?" He dropped his head a little and a cruel smirk came onto his face. "Idiots. Today you'll compete in eight physical tests to gauge your potential, whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled immediately."
Expelled!!! Although, the more I thought about it, the less logical it sounded. There's no way the school would allow this on the first day and why would they let us go through all of this only to expel us? I was 100% sure about my theory, but true or not, I was going to put in all of my effort.
Ochaco once agin stepped forward and tried to argue that it wasn't fair only to be scolded again by Mr Aizawa.
"So go beyond, plus ultra style. Show me its no mistake that you're here." he finished.

First up was the 50m dash, I put my hands behind me to propel me forward. I got 4.18 seconds. At least it's better than junior high.
The second one was a grip test. I held the device in my hand and made the water particles in my palm squeeze it even harder. 256 kg. Damn, that was pretty good.
Test three was the standing long jump and I did practically the same as the sprint and like a few others I went past the sandpit.
Test four was repeated side steps but I wasn't very agile so I didn't get as good as I would have liked.
Test five was finally the ball throw that I had been waiting for. I stepped into the circle and just before the ball left my hand I gave it just a little nudge with my quirk and sent it flying. 682.9 m. Yes! That is way further than I thought I would get!
"That was great (Y/N)!" I heard Ochaco behind me.
"Not for long though, you're up next and I just know that you'll get it further with your quirk." I said smiling at her.
"W–well we don't know that for sure." She said scratching the back of her neck.
She went and took her place in the circle and threw the ball almost effortlessly as it flew off into the distance out of sight. She waited for a while until she couldn't see it and turned to Mr Aizawa who held up the device. It read infinity!
"Wow Ochaco! That was amazing!" I said as I ran up to her and she stepped out of the circle.
"Thanks." She said with a smile. Up next was the boy that Ochaco was talking to. I haven't seen his quirk yet, I wonder what it is?
"If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon he's the one going home." Said Tenya.
"Huh? Of course he is, he's a quirkless loser." Said that Bakugo kid.
"He has a Quirk!" Tenya shot back. "Did you not hear about what he did in the entrance exam?"
Oh yeah that's right. Izuku Midoriya. 7th place, 60 rescue points because he took down that 0 pointer. Wait didn't all his bones completely break though?!
He held the ball in his right hand and as he stepped into the throw I saw the whole of his right arm glow and spark with electricity. 'Here it comes' I thought. The ball was just about to leave his hand when... nothing happened. Huh?
"46 metres!" The machine said.
'Oof!'. I could see the shock and disappointment in his eyes. Just then I saw Mr Aizawa with his scarf floating around him, his hair sticking up and his eyes red.
"I erased your quirk." We all heard him say. "The judges for this exam were not rational enough, someone like you should never be allowed to enroll at this school." Then it hit me. That's Eraserhead, he can erase someones quirk just by looking at them! He continued to scold the innocent cinnamon roll finishing by giving him another ball to do a 'proper' throw.
I just stared at him anxiously when that French guy mumbled something to me.
"Huh?" I asked.
"I'm here, chéri." he said and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Wait who are you again?" I asked but I turned my attention to the small broccoli boi in the circle. He prepared himself and stepped into the throw. I could see that this time only his index finger was glowing and just as that one finger was about to lose contact with the ball he shot it forward using his 'quirk'.
It completely shot off into the distance but I saw that the index finger he used was completely broken. I wonder what type of quirk hurts you when you use it? I looked over to see what his score was. 705.3 m?!
That's 0.1 m further than Bakugo's is score!
