The sports festival is in 2 weeks, the whole thing will be live on TV. Whoever impresses the audience the most will have a better chance of becoming a pro hero one day.

We will have no idea what the games will be until the first day, they could throw anything at us which means we have to prepare for all possibilities.

Training went by far too fast for my liking and soon enough it was the day of the sports festival. It was a shame that we weren't allowed to wear our costumes because it apparently made everything fair. So much for my hydration pills.

"Aw man! I was totally hoping I could wear my costume!" Mina whined.

"I know right!" I agreed. "They said that it was fair or whatever if we all wore the same thing." Suddenly Tenya came bursting through the door.

"Everyone, get your game faces on!" he announced. "We are entering the arena soon!" Oh no no no no no no no no no no no no! I am NOT ready! Is there a nearby window I can yeet myself out of? PLEASE! I'M NOT READY!

"Midoriya." I heard someone say.

"H-hey Todoroki, what's up?" said Izuku nervously. I looked up to see Shoto towering over the small boy.

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." He said in an intimidating tone. Poor Izuku just looked down. Woah, where did this attitude come from? Shoto is normally relatively quiet.

"Uh yeah..."

"However, you've got All Might in your corner helping you out." Huh? All Might? "I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two... but know that I will beat you." Okay what the hell was that?

"Hey, what's the big deal? Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden?" Eijiro got up and put his hand on Shoto's shoulder. "And right before we get started." Shoto shoved his hand away.

"We aren't here to be each others friends, don't forget, this isn't a team effort." As he said that he started to make his way to the door.

"Wait a sec Todoroki." said Izuku and Shoto stopped. "I don't know what's going through your head. Of course you're better than me. In fact you probably have way more potential than anyone in the hero course. That's why you got in so easily."

Isn't he being a little hard on himself? "He's right you guys, all the other courses, they're coming for us with everything they've got. We are all gonna have to fight to stand out. And I'll be aiming for the top too."

"Fine." he replied with zero care. I saw Katsuki get visibly tense at what Izuku said so I reached over for his hand and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry Suki, I'm sure you'll do great." I said quietly and he blushed.

"Suki?"

"Yeah. Do you like the name? I think it sounds cute." The blush on his face got darker and he turned away in an attempt to hide it.

"I-it's fine or w-whatever. Tch." he said and I smiled. He likes it.

I could hear Present Mic announcing to the stadium as we all came out.

"The hero course students of class 1-A!" I was shocked by the amount of people in the stadium watching and screaming. I had seen previous sports festivals at home on television but when I was the one participating, it felt crazy.

Oh I just knew that my mum was recording this. All us first year students were clustered together in the centre of the arena and we hear the crack of a whip.

"Now the introductory speech!" That was the R-rated hero Midnight. Seriously, someone should talk to her about her costume. "Silence everyone! And for the student pledge we have... Katsuki Bakugo!" I turned to see Katsuki with an expression halfway between surprise and confusion.

He slowly walked up to the microphone. We all waited to see what he had to say. I prayed that he wouldn't say something stupid but unfortunately, my prayers were not heard.

"I just wanna say." he paused "I'm gonna win."

Oh my god that idiot. Every single person is now booing and shouting at you.

"Why would you being so disrespectful, you're representing us all!" shouted Tenya.

"Not my fault the rest of you are just stepping stones to my victory." he replied. I really didn't think he could make it worse. I sweat dropped. He came down the stairs and pushed his way through the crowd. You couldn't imagine how triggered I was right now. I silently walked up behind him and raised my hand.

*SMACK!*

My hand slapped that back of his head real hard before he even had a chance to know what was going on. He held his head in his hands.

"What the hell was that for you idiot!" he yelled.

"Tch, You're lucky I don't have a book on me at the moment. If I did, it would have hurt a lot more." I said to him calmly with a smirk on my face. "And it was for being an idiot, you shouldn't have said that." I said walking away.

"I can't believe you've done this." I heard him mumble under his breath. I rolled my eyes and chuckled before I once again drew my attention to Midnight.

"This is where you begin feeling the pain! The first fateful game of the festival!" A screen appeared behind her with a huge spinning wheel. "What could it be?" It stopped spinning. "Ta-da!" An obstacle course?

She went on to explain the rules of the course. Basically we were allowed to do whatever we wanted as long as we stayed inside the track. It was a four kilometre run around the outside of the stadium.

We all lined up at the start line ready to go. The time was counting down and I could see the  three green lights, changing. One. By. One. It got to the last one and as soon as it changed:

"Begin!"
