Chapter 26 - Water, Electricity and a Lot of Vines

"So who are you having your internship with?" Ochaco asked me. All of us in 1-A had just gotten off the train and we were just chatting before having to part with each other for a few days.

"Me? I'm interning with Kamui Woods." I told her.

"That's so cool! You got an offer from a pro in the top 10!" she exclaimed. "I'm interning with Gunhead. I hope I don't get pushed too far." she said sweat dropping.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine." I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Everyone has their costumes right?" asked Mr Aizawa. "Remember, you don't have permission to wear them out in public yet. And don't lose them or anything." he said sternly.

"Gotcha!" shouted Mina.

"Speak properly. It's 'yes sir', Ashido." he glared at her.

"Yes sir." she pouted.

"Make sure you mind your manners with the other heros during your internships, now get to it." We all said our goodbye's and even though he said he didnt like it, I gave Katsuki a tight hug knowing we wouldnt see each other for the rest of the week.

He kissed me on the top of the head and then turned around to where he was going with a frown but also a light blush dusting his face.

Just before we left, Ochaco, Izuku and I all caught up to Tenya before he left. I had heard from Ochaco about what had happened to his older brother.

"Iida wait!" shouted Izuku and he stopped. "Hey, if you ever wanna talk or anything, just let us know." He said and Ochaco and I nodded.

"We are friends, remember?" I said and he turned around to face us.

"Yes." After that, he left without another word. In that moment, we should have tried harder to find out how he was feeling. In the days to come, we would regret not being there for him.

I headed to the platform I needed to go to and I spotted Denki at my station so I ran up and greeted him.

"Hey Denki. You going this way too?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I got an internship with Kamui Woods. Isn't that great!" Wait what? Oh god what was Kamui thinking, honestly? Our quirks are electricity and water. How is this going to work?  The train arrived and we both got on and sat down next to each other.

(A/N: I looked up to see who Denki had his internship with but it never actually says so I'm just gonna go with this.)

"What about you?" he asked me. "Who are you interning with?"

"Believe it or not, I'm also interning with Kamui." His face was shocked at first but then a big smile replaced it.

"Really?! That's great! Now we won't be alone!" he exclaimed. When he turned to me though, he was met with my face with displayed an unamused expression. "Hey, what's wrong? Is it that you don't wanna work with me?" he pouted and I chuckled.

"Of course not, I'm glad I'm with someone I know. It's just that..."

"It's just that what?" he leaned in.

"Think Denki. What are our Quirks?" I said. He leaned back and thought for a sec when it finally clicked in his mind.

"Oh."

The rest of the journey wasn't as bad. It was like Denki and I were destined to intern together. I felt as though he was a good friend I had known for ages.

The whole train journey we forgot about our hero work and just spent it being silly teenagers. We shared funny memes, pics, vines, amusing stories and other things too.
